Crazy Eight [SURVIVAL]BlackWolfe9653
How long can secret agent Sackboy last in Mad Dr. Sackenstein's figure-eight "Moebius Maze"? Difficulty escalates through four stages, plus a bubble-flooded "Bonus Mode" at intervals.
Each lap through the figure-eight earns a cluster of five score bubbles per loop (two clusters per lap, but too far apart for a longer combo. For longer combos, see if you can last long enough at Stage Four to activate Bonus Mode -- ten seconds of score-bubble-spewing insanity each minute of play. (A lot of score bubbles bouncing around the track means a bit of lag -- sorry.)

I had a lot of fun putting this together, so I wanted to take a moment to point some things out:

1) I was at a complete loss for what to put in the first room, which is just there so that you don't start off inside the maze. Yeah, the chandelier's kind of ugly. But it's better than an empty room.

2) I left the top of the right loop bare for two reasons. One is that the real challenge on that side is the climb. The other is that due to the way that climb forces you to slow down and be precise with your jumps, you need a nice empty straightaway to build up some distance between you and the chasing "LasOrb" on that side.

3) BRAIN IN A JAR! BRAIN IN A JAR! I had set aside a space for it pretty early on, and dang it I put a brain in a jar in the background.

This level uses less than half a thermometer, and almost a third of that is the dialogue. Yes, dialogue.

I lost all my MyObjects due to a profile corruption, which included 3, 5, and 7 bubble clusters, along with all the sackpeople from Memetic Hazard.2011-06-09 19:15:00

My sig's in "Wizard's Spire" ya know. I may redesign it, since it's so simple, but I don't want it to eat up thermo l could be using for logic.2011-06-10 09:46:00

Great level BlackWolfe!
I won't leave any fancy feedback since this is just a survival, but I do think it was very well done. I hadn't played any of your levels before this one so I didn't know what to expect. Let's just say I was shocked. This survival was an impressive display of your skills with logic and storytelling, even if it was short and focused on survival. The increasing difficulty was a brilliant touch and I even got the high score in one try (I think the highest possible). This is definitely one that I'll play again so keep an eye out for an improved high score! I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

On a side note, do you or anyone else know where to get the main material you used in your level? Was it in DLC or in the story mode? I think it's called "Sci-Fi Panels" or something.

It is called "Sci-Fi Panels" and it comes from acing one of the Tinsel Town levels (I think it's Sewn Identity). The only DLC I have is the free Fantasy Pack.2011-06-12 01:05:00

Back!

I did enjoy. The gameplay's increasing difficulty made this one really fun to play through. It's an original concept that you did pretty darn good! Visuals are good. The material choice flows. But I would've liked to see some more stickers.
