Sackbot not grab?
Archive: 4 posts
I have a quick question that is probably simple but I can't figure it out for the life of me: I have one controllinator on my Sackbot's default microchip set to receive and one controllinator on the hologram material set to follow my sackbot. There's a lot of logic all around but we'll just ignore that for now. My question is this: Is there a way to make your Sackbot not grab things? I realize this sounds simple but I've tried not attaching wires to the R1 input on the receiver, I've tried using "Not" switches and one-shot "Counter" switches but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Basically, I see it as this: If I select the R1 output on the controllinator set to receive and then attach it to the "Not" switch, it is saying "When R1 is not pressed, the output of the "Not switch" will happen. I can't set this output to the R1 input because then when R1 is not pressed, the original control of R1, grabbing, will activate. What I need is to make it so the original control of R1 to not work, but I can't figure that out. | 2011-06-09 18:16:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Yes, with advanced options on the controlinators. Simply duplicate the receiving controlinator (DCS) and set DCS 1 to receive but not override, and DCS 2 to not receive and override. Then wire the outputs from the receiving DCS to the same inputs of the Overriding DCS. Eg: Left analog on DCS1 to left analog on DCS2. in your case, wire everything major (Moving/jumping) to the DCS2 except R1 | 2011-06-09 18:29:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |

I'll double check everything but I think there might be something else causing this to not work. | 2011-06-09 18:43:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Ok so here's the problem with that last suggestion. Right now, having one receiving controllinator set to override with no other controllinators and no wires attached allows EVERY button to work. I don't know why it does this, I assume it's because I'm using a wireless setup but I don't know for sure. I have no wires attached to the receiving controllinator and no wires going out of it. Does anyone have any other ideas? EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out. | 2011-06-09 19:21:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
