DUST 514 (http://www.dust514.com/en/home/) I really hope CCP can create quality FPS action. I love the EVE universe and think the linking of EVE and Dust could be great. | 2011-06-08 13:10:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
I have to admit, it's sure captured my attention. I would really love to see how the two games are integrated together. | 2011-06-08 19:05:00 Author: 4wheel Posts: 511 |
yeah, EVE already has great social dynamics, hopefully adding army's for hire will progress them even further. The FPS gameplay needs to be solid, but not mind blowing imo. The real fun would come from actually having what you do as a grunt in a battle have an actual effect. Battles hard-fought and won could bring about massive changes for many players and EVE itself. AWWESOMMEEE .....The gameplay must be at least SOLID rating or above for its potential to be adequately met though. *crosses fingers | 2011-06-08 20:53:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
I'm completely sold on this game. The demo they showed at E3 looks alot better then most of the stuff that was announced imo. Can't wait for more details! =D | 2011-06-10 16:01:00 Author: AbstractFlesh Posts: 837 |
so what exactly is dust 514? and whilst we're at it, what exactly is eve? | 2011-06-10 19:59:00 Author: Smudge228 Posts: 533 |
so what exactly is dust 514? and whilst we're at it, what exactly is eve? This might explain it a bit. (http://www.google.co.uk/) But if you want a quick summary, EVE, is an online MMO about soaring through Space doing various things. Mining stuff, fighting, whatever. There's a lot of depth, so I won't go into it. And Dust is an FPS being developed to work alongside EVE. Dust players will effectively become hired goons or mercenaries working for EVE players. Imagine if EVE was a Real Time Strategy game, but instead of commanding little AI soldiers to go do stuff, you're telling a bunch of real people to do it. 2 entirely different games, linked together to create a really interesting idea. Presumably, Dust players get paid in-game currency to fight, and if the respective team wins, the EVE player(s) get benefits from the outcome. Like, capturing a planet or facilty. You get the idea. I must admit, this game has held my interest for a while now. I'll need to see some gameplay before being tempted to buy it, mind. But yeah, this is definitely an awesome concept. I hope it's not just a run-n-gun, though. If it's a proper FPS, I'm more or less sold. | 2011-06-10 22:46:00 Author: Ostler5000 Posts: 1017 |
