Boss battle: WHAT IS THAT THING!?

Archive: 17 posts

My boss with one phase, has logic that changes all global settings (even gravity), and a variety of 5 attacks (I'm hoping).
You gain points as you hop on the pads, and when you gain up to 400 points , you are awarded the Creatinator, and it
shoots plasma.

If you played video games where weak points are hard to find out on bosses, and you can find the those spots on bosses, you can find the one this boss. If you didn't find it, You must shot plasma to the middle red eye ( red plasma ball) on it's chest.

Has one attack thus far, a wave of fire washes out from the maw of it's "gun", destroying most of your jump pads that help dodge it's attacks!

I would like some suggestions for some attacks. Those monstrous sized health bars I would love, is there any out as a prize in the community? I don't like logic , don't like making it either.

Oh yeah, help think up a name for the boss :3

Boss from the angle you verse it:

Wow, looks great! Perhaps: _____, the Underworld Overlord...(yeah, that's awful, I'm bad with names as well)

Also, since you're looking for a spectacularly ridiculous health bar, my health bar would work perfectly (pretty much made exactly for this sort of thing). You can find it in my sig, and you can always contact if you need help with it.

It can give your boss up to 864000 health...... I'm fairly certain that covers "monstrous sized health bar"... you can display it in timer form perfectly, or by using icons, and can deal any amount of damage to it instantly (though damage values are not perfectly exact due to the limitations of LBP, but close enough, only off by 2 or 3 points)

EDIT: hah, just noticed you had already seen this in my objects post.

It's not very user friendly at first, but once you learn how to trigger damage and adjust it, there are only really 3 things you need to worry about. The damage timers, the health timer, and the tag sensors to detect the pulsed damage value.2011-06-08 22:34:00

In the series regarding the boss, your enemy mutates through a disease as the virus spreads... and it mutates everything else with it...2011-06-09 04:49:00

I like 'what is that thing!?', does it really need a name? I mean names are too mainstream.2011-06-11 04:58:00

Call it Linda. Just Linda. It's an awesome name, isn't it?

As for an attack, how about Linda points the gun downwards, starts up a beam and quickly throws it upwards, destroying/deactivating the bounce pads for a second or two, so you have to bounce on them at the right time to not fall into the bottomless? pit under when they're not working. Of course the bounce pads should respawn afterwards if they're destroyed.

Let's call him Neo Exdeath because that's the first thing that comes to mind when I saw it (A.K.A. Huge clutter of monstrosities)

Hmmm... If Sylux had his good ol' cup of Joe he would of thought of this by now...

I have found a name for the boss, a EXCEPT it won't be revealed until the first level of my series comes out...

HERES A HINT: Its called Cylosis Drifts...

But what I need is Ideas for attacks, and their logics. Name discussion is over now!
