Alright people so after my city idea was scrapped (nobody was interested). I've started on a new project called Smile For Kill Cam . Okay so you're probably thinking COD. Well no this is very far from COD. Okay here is my menu setup and a little description of what it consists of. Start-You just start the game. Help-You are greeted by Tim the tutorial bum. He walks you through how everything works and whatnot. Leader boards-See who's the most epic person out there. The Gallery of Kill Cams-This will be a photo gallery holding many different kill cams from different people. I'm hoping that raised some eyebrows. You're probably wondering how the Gallery of Kill Cams will work. Well it's very simple. You will be able to take pictures of epic moments. Let's say you dropkick an enemy out of an window(yes you will be able to do that). You can take a pic of that with the press of a button. Let's say you throw a grenade and it explodes in an enemy's face. Take a pic. If you want your pic to be put in the Gallery of Kill cams just send me the pic and put a funny comment on there.If i think it's funny and epic then it will be put in the gallery. That's the main thing I'm aiming for here. Its to just experiment with different things and record your most epic moments. Also another thing is leader boards. I want you to keep trying to get on the leader boards.I did have a story set for this but it was to serious. I just want this game to be silly and relaxing. I might try to implement some type of story into this. Hopefully because I dont want it to just be some guy running around killing with no purpose. I want some type of story. There will be many weapons in this game. You will start off with grenades and an assault rifle. You can pick up guns from slaughtered enemies. You have 3 grenades and you will have to replenish them with ammo boxes. I was gonna make it where after every round or mission or whatever you can buy new weapons. I dont know I still have to think about that. Okay so for points basically you are rewarded points for destroying stuff. Mostly everything in this level will be destructible. For example you could be hiding behind a wall and then it gets blown away by an rpg now you have to find new cover. I wanna make where you cant just go in guns blazing especially when you just start off. You have to put some tactic into it. Otherwise you will die very quickly. Now for health i was gonna give you the ability to restore health when you hold down a button but then I thought nahh they gotta work for it. So it may be health packs around the level or health regeneration. I dont know you guys decide. I wanna add a coop mode. I will decide this later. So yea ive started on the sackbot and enemies. I have there health bars down and everything. Im currently working on weapon switching for the MC. I will try to get pics but idk if ill be able too. But ill keep you guys informed on my progress. Like i said I don't want this to be serious. I want you to have fun. I want you to do stupid things like diving out of a 30 story building and landing in a car. I hope you guys support me on this. And also I don't want any help. I wanna try to do this level myself but if i do need any help. Ill ask you guys. I hope someone responds to this thread and hopefully people are interested unlike my other idea the city which was a failure **UPDATE** 6/8/11 Okay I think I have a story. The story goes like this. So me IXIELMOIXI or Mr.Elmo has a photo gallery but he needs pictures of kill cams for his gallery. So I ask you the player if you could do me a favor and get some pics for my gallery. I offer you butt load of cash and you accept. Then the game starts. The whole story will play in with the photo gallery. Tell me what you guys think.

Hah, subtle....I_Love_Logic.... IXIEMLO, I'm also going the route of trying to do it all yourself. Fun, but can be very frustrating if you get stuck. If you pull this off, I think it'd be quite cool. My advice: You may be attached to certain things, but with the complexity of this level, I wouldn't get too attached. I've had to toss some of my ideas simply because they were not worth the thermo space they took up. Also, a little formatting would be nice. That wall of text was daunting.

Thanks for the response guys!! @I_Love_Logic lol If I do need any help with logic You'll be the first one I goto. @STAGG Thanks for the advice and sorry for the wall of text. I was rushing to type it but your wish has been granted. Ill do some more formatting later.

Hah, sounds a little suspicious actually, randomly getting paid to have your deaths captured on film.... Perhaps change it to some Private Military Company is looking to hire the best soldiers in the region. Entrance is by surviving and performing the most amazing kills in the 'battle zone'. Different points are awarded for performing different kills/attacks...? This is going to be difficult to do. Were you planning on top-down, FPS, normal view, or third person? Also, I read your city idea, it actually sounds pretty decent. I could definitely see it being fun to roam a city doing random actions and such.

You're filming yourself killing other people. But you did give me a great idea for story and i thank you for that. Its gonna be a sidescrolling shoot em up. Also thank you for the comments on my the city idea. I might decide to start it back up when Im done with Smile For Kill Cam . Ill update the story later.
