Question about Connectors

I was wondering, how Is it possible to take a piston and motor bolt and make it so that after the piston extends or the bolt turns to a certain point it after initially being triggered by a switch or sensor in the level, to make it stop extending or turning further? | 2011-06-06 23:30:00 Author: Unknown User |
There's a number of ways, depending on the circumstances in which it needs to stop. A certain spot, a set amount of time? Simply cutting power to a piston or bolt will make it stop, and there's many ways of doing it. Do you have something specific in mind? | 2011-06-07 01:37:00 Author: Brannayen Posts: 438 |

Well I want a piston to rise and bring a platform out, but I don't want it to be on forever hahaha, I want it to stop after it extends. I'm also doing something similar with a motorbolt, for a door like structure | 2011-06-07 02:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
Pass the trigger through a toggle gate, or a counter set to activate on the first input, then connect the toggle/counter to the piston, then set the piston to forwards/backwards on its input action. That usually does the trick. | 2011-06-07 02:52:00 Author: RagTagPwner Posts: 344 |
You can also attach a direction combiner to a piston, and set the piston to forward/backward. Then you could activate the + or - to extend or retract the piston at will. I believe this should work for a motor bolt as well. | 2011-06-07 03:43:00 Author: Brannayen Posts: 438 |
