Over the clouds 3D level

Archive: 9 posts

This is my 2nd 3d level in LBP2, and I wanted to take my creativity "higher", if you know what I mean. Once again, this level is to just relax and enjoy the scenery but I have added some simple platforming to give it some variety.

Thanks for the play and review, as for the key, I will think of a better way to pull that off. Maybe adjusting the radius because the key itself has a tag and the door has the sensor for the tag but it only opens when the front of the key touches the door. I will definitely get on that.

UPDATE: Key is fixed and should open the door no matter if it is facing left or right now.

I always enjoy an extra layer level and the theme here really has great potential.
Liked the lightness and airy feeling of being high in a cloudy city but had problems bringing the key to open the first door, maybe a switch pull on the higher sction would work better to release the door.

Some feedback ideas:
- Instead of using Light matter for the main walkway plaforms why not use invisble dark matter to create an illusion of actually walking among the clouds.
-Consider front projecting clouds into the foreground to add era depth and amplify the 3d effect.
- a few more decorative details and animation in the background to really bring the level to life.
If you'd like help with any of this just send me an invite when on LBP, it'd be fun to help.
Overall a nice level.

Thanks for the feedback EnochRoot, I took your consideration for changing the key to a lever and I did. Now it should be more efficient instead of dragging a key. I wouldn't mind having you help out with some added stuff in the level, the more help the better.
