Finally, a way I can get more people to notice my creations! Anyways, I have a "new" hover system I want to show, which I created within a week of LBP2's release but not very many people have noticed. I already have a level with a simple hovertank demo, giving the tank as a prize after, and another level explaining my system. I think the best way to show my hover system is to demonstrate my experimental hover tank I created a couple months ago, but never published. However, I use my new prototype tank mainly for another special system: destroying ANY solid object with holo, without placing logic on the targets, as well as destroying all other objects behind the one already destroyed (up to a certain distance). I call these special projectiles "burrowers" & "semi-burrowers", the burrowers capable of destroying multiple objects whereas the semi-burrower destroying the first object it hits. Your tank can destroy ANYTHING without logic? That sounds dangerous. Well, not exactly. Holo can't be destroyed, except by a destroyer on that holo. My projectiles themselves have logic on them, but I won't disclose how I got them to destroy objects (secret! ) It's not a glitch either, but there's only one way my burrowers can't destroy objects (another secret! lol) But here's a hint: it requires a certain logic piece with a particular setting (not the indestructible setting)... It's not too logically complex, and not very visually detailed, but I used neon material for the tank so it can have some visual effects when shooting or charging a shot. It has a main cannon, primarily used for firing burrower rounds; dual turrets on the top of the tank for electric projectiles & a chargeable semi-burrower function; a third center turret with a range of 180-degree rotation, with a primary semi-burrower fire & secondary rapid-fire (electric projectiles). The final set of weapons are the dual missile launchers, which follow a controllable cursor & fly straight after passing the cursor. The tank is also fully capable of a 4-person crew, the driver capable of controlling the main cannon & dual turrets (or another can take control of the dual turrets after the driver has entered the driving controlinator), a third can control the central turret, and a fourth can use the dual missile launchers. I haven't perfected the temporary-homing missiles yet, since they crash into each other if they turn too sharply (3 sets of 2 pairs, 6 missiles per launcher, for a total of 12 missiles launched at a time), but they can hit anything around the tank if guided smoothly. My tank can also climb walls & ceilings, as do all vehicles that use my hover system (correctly at least), and all the weapons continue to function properly upside-down, even the missiles (which have specific boundaries, preventing the cursor from getting too far from the tank. | 2011-06-29 06:07:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |

You could make them turn slower They aren't very agile if I made them slow or turn slow, that's the point cuz I'm planning to make a level that would require you to guide the missiles through a small, curving passage & hit a target. At their current speed, making them turn slow would require quite a bit of space above the tank in order to curve the missiles behind the tank, & I'm not gonna keep the the tank out in the open the whole time either. Only my semi-burrower has a destroyer on itself, which functions similar to a sticky grenade, but it's made of holo material. Well shucks, I wish the deadline was later haha. I am making a blackjack for 1 to 4 players against a dealer...that is actually semi intelligent so it wont bust every time or stop at like 15. It won't be done by then. My roulette table is far to large to be a gadget haha or just a logic. tech showcase sounds like an awesome idea though. Hey deschuttes, I'm nearing completion of yet another hover tank, & this one is the most realistically detailed so far. It's a massive hover tank (5 layers) with dual railguns & its projectiles can destroy anything that even gets near its path of trajectory. Its projectiles can also be set to home into a tracer (secondary weapon) for increased accuracy. It will also be able to fire swarms of missiles (still working on it) & will be guide-able mid-flight. I might be interested to show off my demo shooter level useing a lot of the new goodies from the move pack. Sticker pannels weapons that face the right direction and all.
