Community Objects won't load

Archive: 8 posts

Hello. I was in create mode tinkering around when I went into my community objects toolbox and started scrolling down. I was hit by the message data failed to load and would i like to retry. This is a wast of time because this message just repeats itself over and over and I was forced to switch it off and reload it all again. I did this and went back into the create mode and was able to delete a lot of my community objects before the same message flashed up again. Now i can no longer access any items in my community objects toolbox. My own objects toolbox seems fine so I don't understand what has happened here. Can anyone help or offer some advice please?

Just delete them all.
Good creators rarely use community objects. (Our fan-made DLC is a special case. )
And most of the community objects are broken.

Hey nysudyrgh. I can't delete the ones that are left as I keep getting that error message everytime i open the community objects toolbox. I have never used community objects myself but am just worried that it may affect other things. I have prizes on my levels and although they work in my MY OBJECTS toolbox is there anyway that they may affect the community object toolbox of others?2011-06-04 14:03:00

That error message with the retry thing was what happened to me right before my profile was corrupted both times. I'd recommend creating a backup on your computer if you haven't already, just in case. It could be the beginning of a profile corruption and eventually result in you having to lose all your data and restart from the beginning. No matter what though, your other stuff should be safe as long as you aren't getting that message anymore.

Hey I get that sometimes when I set my psp in sleep mode when its still loading at the main menu, so did you turn it off right after you moved to that page and when you turned it on that came up?2011-06-04 23:40:00

I would suggest backing up your files. When that popped up, ALL of my PSP data corrupted. I had to redownload LBP, Lord of the Rings: Tactics, Spyro, Monopoly, and Motorstorm: Arctic Edge. It sucked because I just unlocked everything and beat the Festival in Motorstorm. I had also beaten LBP story and Lord of the Rings with everything unlocked. Good luck.

Thanks for getting back to me everyone. The rest of my game seems ok at the moment but every time I go into community objects the message pops up and prevents me from doing anything. I have made back-ups in the past and may have to resort to them if my game becomes corrupted. I am assuming that even if I lost everything and started again I would still be able to download my published levels and use them again is that correct? That is something I suppose. I have tons of levels in various stages of construction including ones not related to MSF and I would hate to lose it all.2011-06-07 15:50:00

Yeah you can, but if that's the case, you'll have to replay Story Mode to unlock all the materials, stickers, and such in order to properly edit them.2011-06-07 19:32:00
