Who Done it?

Archive: 34 posts

This game is where you try and find out the killer. I will give you the scenario and then in the forum you must try to find out Who Done It? Edit: Green means dead.(NEW) Means newly added to the locations/characters etc.

Here it goes.
Mr Jones lay dead on the floor. It was a mystery as to how or who. The police were confused thats why they called you. You take a look at the location its his own home, his own room. The window only opens half. He is lying half on the bed half off. There are no bullet holes anywhere, it wasnt a gun. There was no blood so it wasnt him. There was a cup of water lying next to him but no water. You walk out the house and look up his friends, relatives and enemies.

Friends

Mr Hoof
Mr Alexander
Mrs Ross
Miss Bywater

Enemies

Mr Polo
Master Berry
Miss Monker
Sir Harry

Relatives

Only one still alive. His Mother

Mrs Warrington.

Locations

Chemists
Grocery Store
Butchers
Bakers
Home of Victim
Clothes Shop
Mansion of Sir Harry
Own Home
Miss Bywaters House(NEW)
Polo Industries (NEW)

Thats the scenario so go solve it, heres how it will work-

The user below me will post something like "Go to bakers ask if the victim was here last night. Then I play the baker and answer. No questions that are Out there and no silly actions like I call Chuck Norris who kills the bad guy. Begin.

detective "your the boss"

they both get into the car and drive to the grocery store.

inside, they bump into Mr polo.

"doing a little shopping are we detective?" said Mr polo.

detective " actually we are investigating the killer, so u can shut up"

head detective "im sorry but were very busy at the moment"

"oh i see, well, im quite busy myself"

the detectives walk up to the counter......

They ask if Mr Jones was here earlier. Mr Peach (The owner of the shop) tells them that he was here just 2 days ago. He bought the normal stuff, nothing unusual. He said he had to go to the clothes shop though, you may find something there.2011-06-04 12:31:00

This is really neat! I've always loved a good mystery to solve.

I'll just take out the obvious here..
Go to chemists, and ask about recent orders, assuming that these people sell their concoctions.

I'll also just put my thoughts out here for any other detectives to look at.

- Victim had taken a sip of the water before lying down to bed but collapses.
- The window left open is possibly how our killer poisoned the water.
- The remaining water in the glass has evaporated over the days due to the open window.

Just my thoughts so far.

The chemist sees your arrival and gets nervous he tells you "He WAS here and he bought some (cough) cyanide. I dont know if thats mabye a suicide but I swear I didnt know, I thought he was some sort of scientist. He had just came from the clothes shop across the road.

Detectives look at each other. Suicide is a possible but why would he get all his daily needs when if he was commiting suicide he wouldnt need them. Thats two people mentioned the clothes shop.

they arrived at the clothes shop and asked some common questions.

" did Mr Jones purchase any items from your shop on thursday the 11th?"

"errr... umm.. i couldnt say...." the shop keeper looked shiftily side to side.

the head detective lent forward " is.. is everything alright Mrs Ross?"

" i cant talk right now.. meet me behind the pub at midday tomorrow"

"well ok then i guess" said the detective.

as they walked down the street they heard a scream.
" what was that?!?!" said the detective, alarmed.
" i don't know but i have a feeling where about to find out"

the two detectives quickly ran back to the clothes shop....

There was nothing inside. Mrs Ross stood shocked but everything seemed fine. She tells you "Look incase anything goes wrong I need to tell you now. He bought a bulletproof jacket. He then quickly ran upon seeing Sir Harry. Everybody knew Mr Jones was behind in payments to Sir Harry but now it seems like something more. Now I fear he may get me."

The detectives look at each other. Looks like a murder but we cant be sure of one persons word. On another note why hadnt she told us first and why had someone screamed.

Sir Harry lives in the Mansion at the top of the hill we should mabye go there.

Sir Harry tells you "I am bewildered that you would ask, we were good frinds until of course he stopped paying me. However it would be not only unethical but illogical to kill him, he wouldnt be worth my time. I was examining a house in France to escape this formidable and forgettable place. After all I can pay for it now he left me the money in his will. So if you exuse me im just back and the removal men will be here shortly.

Have you spoken to his mother im sure she wouldnt approve of you digging further into the case without her permission. Ta Ta"

Seems suspicious im going to put that down. Why would he move to France straight after the murder?

Mrs Warrington sees your arrival sees you and runs to you. "He is the killer, he is the killer"

"Who is"

"Mr Hoof of the Bakery store he went in and 30 minutes later there are ambulances and police cars."

It would make sense but we cant presume.

"Did he tell you anything"

"He said he was in trouble and had to protect himself then he was about to tell me why when he looked out the window and ran from the house"

Thank you, she seems fine about our investigation but Mr Hoof is now a suspect.

Mr Hoof sees you and straightens his tie "I presume your here to congratulate me"

"Why"

"I found the body thats why, Ohhh wait you think I.....(Soft Chuckle) Ill be honest I hate the guy but he phoned me to bring up his baking needs, he wouldn't answer the door so I broke in, after all he phoned me from his house I knew he was in. I put the tray of goods on his kitchen worktop and went upstairs to see him dead. So I phoned the police.

"Ok did you see anything suspicious?"

"Yes he had a bullet-proof vest and a machete in is kitchen, as if he were expecting danger, and I think you aught to know his will said his journal was to go the police so its more than likely in the station. The police said that they couldnt make much sense of it though."

Hmmm I believe Mr Hoof but im still Suspicious, that journal could be of great use.

The Butcher says "I honestly dont know, he asked for pork and there was none so I went back into my store room to get some. He must have taken one when I was gone."

"Sir Harry is a suspect, and is moving to France soon. Anything about him I should know."

"Well thats a question. He was here just yesterday buying meat."

Why would he buy food before leaving the country?

You get to the house to see he is leaving and you missed him. If he was the killer it was too late, might as well check his house anyway. You go in and a note is left on the table it reads "Incase the police come back in search of me here is a note for you. I hope it helps. I recently saw Mrs Ross hanging around Mr Jones' door. She went inside. I then went to get my dinner for I dont care if you solve the case or not but I thought that you should know. (P.S I had pork for dinner)

Well that solves the pork thing but Mrs Ross is going to need to be questioned.

Ask Mrs. Ross about her business inside Mr. Jones house.
Unless they were just friends of course which is very plausible.

Mrs Ross looks shifty "I was going to.....em... check he was fine because he wouldnt answer his phone and then...then..he was dead"

"Its okay did you spot anything"

"Now to think of it yes a buisness card saying Polo Industries on it and the telephone number. I took it here, it will be more use to you than me.

I dont need to ask who this card belongs to.

Call the card's phone number perhaps? Or interrogate Mrs. Ross a bit more as she is obviously hiding something from me.2011-06-11 01:33:00

You call the number and a receptionist answers. "Hello how can I help you"

"Im looking for the owner of this industry"

"Oh that would be Mr Polo but he isnt available right now"

Ok I guess its back to Mrs Ross.

"Are you sure your telling me everything?"

Mrs Ross confessed "No. Im sorry. But this is the truth. I was talking to him on the phone and he sounded scared. Then there was a thud he said he had to go then a lot of running. I put the phone down and sat down, I didnt know what to do so I went to his house to see what had happened."

Well lets hope that is the truth.

The thud was probably the door slamming and the running indicates that the victim was chased to the bedroom before he died. No signs of physical injury and the possible cause of death is either by poison or fear. The open window was probably where our murderer escaped the scene.

Look at the journal?

The journal says "Polo mints taste great. I got some yesterday. Sir Harry wants my money. Well he can get it if he gets me. He is one of many faces a friend an enemy. Not harry but .. ......

"Today I fear the worst so I write my will. Nothing will go to .. ...... That may make .. ...... want to kill me more I dont mind. Goodbye cruel world. Today it comes.

How many dots were there .. ...... hmm ill try figure that out.

the morning sun flooded the bedroom. the head detective looked up and squinted. "another day of investigating i guess".

He got up and made some coffee, then he wondered into the hall and heard the paper fall onto the mat. The detective sighed and picked up the paper.

he sat down at the kitchen table and took a sip of coffee. " what?" he dropped the paper onto the table.

the paper read " MAN FOUND DEAD IN OWN HOME" Mr Maiden was found dead in his own bedroom yesterday evening at around 10 pm. The only thing strange within the room was that there was a glass, completely empty resting on a desk by an open window.....

the detective stopped reading there. " its happened again".....he stared at his kitchen window and watched the curtain blow in the wind.
"... this cant be a coincidence.... this cant have been an accident...... this isn't just a killer......its a serial killer....."

then the detective shook his head : NO... no im jumping to conclusions......." he dashed to the phone and rang his fellow detective.... he needed to get to the bottom of this.... before it was too late.

Ok so we can tell Mr Polo has something to do with this, his card was at the scene. Well there may be more back at the scene of the crime but also the new murder scene. Who was murdered again? Miss Bywater, is there a chance she knew something and the murderer didnt want us to know? So old murder scene or new murder scene?2011-06-14 20:57:00
