I guess I need to ask the obvious question:

Have you attached a brain to the creature, and tweaked it so it has a walking speed?

If you did that already, I have to say I had a problem like this a few times, where my creature would suddenly stop working (I assume it has something to do with the fact that I changed it's shape in some way, but I'm not too sure). Can't say I know a solution otherwise.

yep, the shape of it it is ur basic raptor shape, ya kno, kinda hunched over, more weight on the front than back so i put a metal block in his tail for weight balance, but the metal has nothing 2 do with it cuz i've tryed it without2008-12-09 03:39:00

I mean in Create Mode, can the entire raptor with legs be selected with the Pop-It Cursor and moved?2008-12-09 03:58:00

The creature might be accidently stuck to the floor or other background object and you are not aware of it. That's happened to me a few times in create mode. :o2008-12-09 04:04:00

I remember the very first creature I made... it was big and ugly, and it would not move. I'm not sure why, but I think it had something to do with either the settings on the brain or the order things were attached, like brain first legs next or something.

All my current monsters work fine, but the first one never did, and I can't be bothered pulling it apart to work out what the problem was. :o

Make sure the brain is attached correctly. It needs to make a gurgling sound when you glue it in 2008-12-10 20:12:00

Elbee23, explain, PLEASE!
What do you put on first, last, and In between?
I keep messing things up somehow.
(Leave it to me to find a way to mess things up!)

Well, I was just building some creatures today for my next project...

I went and imported a creature I had already built, the bugs from the liver area. They worked fine.

I needed to modify it though, one of the modifications included making it invulnerable.

I took off the old brain and attached a new invulnerable one, and it worked fine.

But then when I copied the new version to the area I needed to... it just would not move.

Because it's not a complex creature though, it's not hard to recreate. It seems what works best is to put on the brain, and then attach the legs. I think that makes the brain hook up to the leg system, at least that's my guess.

So perhaps you need to put on a brain, and then put on the bits that move it. Only problem is it needs to be in mid air to do it though, but that's what seems to work.

But yeah, sometimes they just don't. I don't really understand why. But it seems that the moral of the story is... if at first you don't succeed... rebuild it from scratch.

If at first you don't succeed, make a sledgehammer and use it.2008-12-13 18:46:00

Well, I was building a very simple creature for the first of the "How to" levels which I just published. You can find the official link here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=5927).

I was building and rebuilding a very, very simple monster. I noticed two things...

Creature brains take up a fair chunk of thermometer. Especially protected ones. It felt like unprotected ones took up one small tab, while protected took up two.

Sometimes the limiter system would just up and stop working. I don't know why it would. It would work for a time, I'd fiddle with the settings of things, and then it would stop, well, limiting the creatures. I tried moving the limiters to different heights and putting new ones in, but they just didn't do their thing.

The only thing that fixed it would be to rebuild the creature. Good thing all they were was a brain, a bit of sponge, 3 legs and maybe some spikes. Sometimes keys and sound effects to, but all in all it does not take long.

But yeah, beats me. I fixed it with the afformentioned sledghammer.
