Sackboy Goes Snowboarding?!?ceLLCUBe0618
This is a pretty cool snowboarding level. I am adding trees, snow, and a few secret areas for prize bubbles. I will post the snowboard in the level complete sections for prizes, along with the tree I used. Read the long description.
Hey I am creating a snowboarding level. It is coming along very well. I have the main track figured out I am just adding details. There are two secret areas to collect score bubbles. I added spare snowboards on the way down the ?mountain?. Below the starting point is a simple costume design I used while making and repeatedly testing the level. The level should be done by Monday, June 6th. I will not upload it until I am completely finished with it. I will upload a demo of the track if you want. The demo will contain only the ice part of the track.

Oops sorry if I wasn't clear but only finished works (already published) should go in this Level Showcase thread. Any unfinished projects should go in the "Ideas and Projects" forum for PSP. Don't go creating a new thread however, since either a Mod will move this or your level will be published before then. Just try and keep things in the right forum from now on, it should be pretty self-explanatory. Sorry if I confused you in the PM.2011-06-03 00:59:00

Details were easier than expected. I am finished with the level. I am uploading it right now. If it isn't in the first 2 new pages then just search my name. I might add trees later but I don't know right now. Enjoy and tell me what you think. Thanks

Well I just played it and I would like to suggest a few things but first off I would like to say welcome to LBPC!

The Good
Well the fact that you could make something that I never have been able to do really impressed me (make a track thing that you can actually stay on)
And your snow looked pretty good too.

The Bad
Your corner editing is a bit um... rough. I would suggest taking a bit more time on corner editing and when you cross one of the bridge thingys your snowboard flips over.

The What?
Your sig in the level I dont really understand it and the random button in the beginning of level, theres nothing else other than that.

Over all I gave it :star::star::star:s for effort.
And yes I did just steal The Questors feedback layout

I enjoyed the concept of the level, snowboarding is cool in real life, so why not in LBP!? The visuals are nice in places but more work could be done on the background and foreground. Use the thin layers and you'll find a new level of depth being added to your level

I was unable to complete the level because I didn't really know where to go when I fell off the snowboard.

:star::star::star: for a pretty fun level

I updated the level. I fixed the rail where your snowboard usually flips over. I worked on the corner editing some more so the ride should be smoother than what was. Hope you guys will download it again if you want and try it out.
About the sig... in a lot of LBPC levels I see sigs and I tried to make my own... but I failed. I was too lazy to take off the button and make a new starting area, but I am doing that in my third and final update, sometime during the first few days of summer break.
To make the snowboard work on a thin rail was shockingly simple. I just glued a really small thin layer to the back of the snowboard. (or the front on the back thick layer snowboard). Otherwise you guys would have fallen off the map.
Do I have potential to make better levels?
Thanks for your feed back.
