Hey, my friend in real life who went blind awhile back has his birthday coming up on June 25, 2011. He's been an avid gamer his whole life, but his blindness has prevented him from gaming recently. I was thinking of having an entire platform level completely visionless (so he sees the same as everybody else) with sound cues that indicate when you have to jump, grab, freeze, move left or right, and such. I already have a little bit of it down, but I'm really not that talented at making levels, and this is the one level I actually want to make special. I have some basic ideas as of right now, but I want this level to be considerably lengthy without feeling too repetitive. And yes, I will release the level to the community, too, but I am designing it with a blind player in mind. Story elements are fine because I can record my voice if I must. Is anyone interested in helping me out a little? I would very much appreciate it. It will be his first birthday blind (and hopefully his last), so I want to get across the message that the life he lived with vision is still present, and he can still enjoy the activities he used to. If you want more details on what's going on with him, feel free to send a private message my way. Anyway, is anyone interested in helping me?

Have you thought of using the force feedback of the dualshock 3 controller? You can put some sort of dangerous material inside of a non lethal material so that it can vibrate when you want to cue a jump... or something like that.

You're a good friend. I think it's awesome that you're doing this for him, i think that maybe you should make it a game using the controlinator, use the dualshock when he hits a wall or something

I came in here to suggest using the rumble from the controller as well I was also going to suggest making sounds come out of either the left or right speakers on the TV to indicate whether to, for example, jump left or right. Really cool idea by the way, it's these little gems that pop up that make me love LBP. I don't have the time to help sorry, but I'd love to play it when you're done. Good luck with it
