Freezing Sackbots
Archive: 6 posts
Hi, i'm trying to make a cutscene like this. You reach a point, then the cutscene starts, a Sackbot runs and jumps off a pit, and then the camera zooms on a miniboss. The problem is, i don't know how to freeze to Sackbot to make him run only when you start the cutscene... I tried connecting him to a sensor, but it doesn't work! | 2011-06-01 15:29:00 Author: Flame Dragon Posts: 312 |
Okay, so put down another behavior chip onto the sackbot. Set the main one to idle, and the new one to Act, and whatever you want him to do. Then place a battery on the sequencer at the right time and connect the battery to the behavior chip. Done! Hope I helped. | 2011-06-01 15:31:00 Author: nunsmasher Posts: 247 |

I throught i just needed to connect a Sackbot to a sensor to start him up when the player walks there... But that works! Thanks. | 2011-06-01 15:46:00 Author: Flame Dragon Posts: 312 |
Well, you don't have to use a sequencer, but since you're making a cutscene I assumed you have one. | 2011-06-01 23:14:00 Author: nunsmasher Posts: 247 |
Awesome, it worked! Here's another question, how i can make a Sackbot talk when I activate a text mouth via sequencer? | 2011-06-02 16:26:00 Author: Flame Dragon Posts: 312 |
Awesome, it worked! Here's another question, how i can make a Sackbot talk when I activate a text mouth via sequencer? Use the exact same thing, battery wired to a text mouth on the sackbot, just make sure you have it on the sackbot , (by on the sackbot I mean in his circuitboard) | 2011-06-02 17:46:00 Author: onaga666 Posts: 293 |
