Pokemon Blue Version

Hey finished my Pokemon level, I actually started this probably 3 months ago, and I finally buffed out most of the problems yesterday and published it. Basically you play as Mewtwo (lv. 50) against a wild (lv. 70) Raticate. You've got four moves and you can use potions. This is built more to demonstrate the possibilities than to be a really intense battle, and honestly, it is pretty easy to win. I copied all the sprites directly from the game, yes I actually had my old timer Gameboy on for a solid 25 minutes copying every pixel for every menu, pokemon, and word. Also has the Title theme and Battle them, sequenced by myself. So, in case you want a little taste! Here are some pictures! http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/d638c56db5b8fda704d26b83912171f5e97a3967.jpg http://i6.lbp.me/img/ft/4b6117aeca5e81a00a7fcb7902f83f11cb5122db.jpg http://i2.lbp.me/img/ft/e42817bcfc1eeed26972a55473fa30e6e02109a3.jpg So thanks for playing! And a big thanks to all the people that helped out! I can't remember all of you, but I'll try! jocko99, OneEyedBanshee, Nacho212, Prattz, yoda97yoda, andddddd probably a few others that I still love, I just can't seem to remember! http://lbp.me/v/0q5gm5 | 2011-05-31 14:51:00 Author: Jayhawk_er Posts: 403 |

I never have been nor will I ever be a pokemon fan or even somewhat interested in it. Though the effort definetly shows in your screenshots so congrats to you for replicating it. But I'm afraid I'm not too interested in trying it myself | 2011-05-31 23:26:00 Author: Nick930930 Posts: 878 |
I've yet to try this, but I already have one question; why Blue? | 2011-06-01 05:14:00 Author: Qrii_Nakari Posts: 204 |
I played this, was really quite amazing how accurate it was! Even the fact that always using Psychic = win no matter what was dead on! Hahah! Well done with this sweet replication of one of my personal favs! (Even the version I had ;D) | 2011-06-01 05:26:00 Author: iKyle94 Posts: 60 |

Great engine, it runs well and looks amazing. My only complaint would be that the music had too much reverb and didn't have the same vibe to it. | 2011-06-01 05:43:00 Author: Arkei Posts: 1432 |

This is truly amazing, i have nothing more to say. The only thing it would make it better, is giving the music as a prize. | 2011-06-01 15:54:00 Author: Flame Dragon Posts: 312 |
Hey thanks everyone! Really appreciate the nice comments! I've yet to try this, but I already have one question; why Blue? And it's Blue because I couldn't find my Red version so I just settled for that one. And also, I fixed some issues involving the damage some things do, and some issues with game ending. All should work well now. I realized that this could be implemented into a whole level, if you just emitted the whole battle scene and warped you back to the walk around map after. I'm seriously contemplating making a little playable version of say route 1 from the game. | 2011-06-01 21:40:00 Author: Jayhawk_er Posts: 403 |
I'm seriously contemplating making a little playable version of say route 1 from the game. That would we nice, but would be so hard to make because of the exp,the enemies and all those things, also if you will try to create it,and need any help i could help you if you want | 2011-06-01 21:52:00 Author: xkjz3l Posts: 113 |

I just switched the battle theme for a version SevenIsaCannibal made, so now the music sounds incredibly perfect, it's actually kind of creepy. It is also given away as a prize if you are interested in it. | 2011-06-02 14:57:00 Author: Jayhawk_er Posts: 403 |

Awesome job on this remake of the Pokemon battle from the good old Red and Blue. VISUALS: Looks exactly like the game. Mewtwo and Raticate looked perfectly matched as Gameboy pixel graphics. SOUND: Very cool remake music. Well, of course Sevenisacannibal made it. GAMEPLAY: You did a great job on the menu part. Very accurate commands, too. Not sure if barrier is necessary, but that's not a complaint. OVERALL: Great job. A yay, a heart, and a positive review. | 2011-06-04 17:11:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
Hey there very nice battle it reminded me of the days of the mad pokemon craze at school. Very accurate to the real game i would really like to see a level of this maybe even a pokemon stadium type battle game using this. | 2011-06-19 01:42:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |
