Forgive me if this has already been accomplished, but has any found out how to make projectile water any color of a player's choice? I would like to create a level based on oil, and i was wondering if i could make the oil using projectile water. Just an idea, otherwise, i can always use shapes and what not to create my desired effect.

Changing the colour of the global water also changes the colour of the projectile.

You could use black paint balls from the MGS pack if it's possible to get that colour. Being oil, when the paint hits anything it would leave black marks on things, whereas the water projectile wouldn't do that. Might give a better result than water.
