Modern Warfare 2

Yes. A Modern Warfare 2 Level. But not a crappy quickly done level. I REAL, TRUE, Modern Warfare 2 level. Not a campaign level, but a multiplayer Level, Perhaps Spec Ops as well. My Idea for it is, is a first Basic Level, Probably titled "Modern Warfare 2" And that is just basically a menu, and you select the Three types of game modes. Campaign, Multiplayer, and Spec Ops. I'm probably not going to do Campaign, definitely multiplayer, maybe Spec Ops. But now the fun part. Gameplay. Spec Ops hasn't been touched yet, but I've worked on Multiplayer a bit now. Multiplayer Gameplay Features Building: HUD Classes Customizable Killstreaks Team Deathmatch Varying damages depending on what weapons AC-130 Chopper Gunner Planning: Domination Free For all Switchable Weapons Picking Up weapons Enemy A.I. Most of the killstreaks Music Perks Ammo System At least 14 Weapons Knife Primary Equipment Secondary Equipment Maybe multiple maps And a lot of other stuff I forgot to mention Its basically A faithful Remake of Modern Warfare 2. And Also I'm not adding quickscoping, noob tubes, basically all the noob stuff. TEAM Lead Designer: CyanideExpress/SPARTANDUDE924 (Same Person) Co-Lead: Logic 1: Logic 2: Builder/costumes 1: Builder/costumes 2: Music 1: Music 2: There are probably other Positions, but I can't think of any others right now. What I need right now are opinions on what maps, weapons and killstreaks you'd like to see. AND I need some people to help fill the roles. And on that note please don't ask to fill the role if your not that good at it. This level is aiming to be at one of the highest quality levels currently published. Hope to be hearing from some of the talented people here, and thanks for reading http://www.psu.com/media/wallpapers/wallpaper-modernwarfare2-1.jpg | 2011-05-30 00:09:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
What kind of format is this to be in? Good old LBP sidescrolling or an actual FPS? I've worked out some pretty interesting logic for a sackbot based shooter! Basically a paintinator that an fire anything | 2011-05-30 02:22:00 Author: Unknown User |
Good Old sidescrolling Its in sackbot style, with actual costumes, and actual weapons. With a hud, and its multiplayer. Trust me it'll be very proffesional. AndI'm really looking forward to getting it finished. I just really need GOOD logic guys, because, its quite complex. | 2011-05-30 02:34:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
I think i can get a clear understanding of the logic that will be used in a level like this. The only trouble in logic i cant understand is how would kills be recorded down | 2011-05-30 03:20:00 Author: NinjuhKeeno Posts: 3 |
My friend is figuring that out. I haven't asked if he wanted to be part of the team yet though | 2011-05-30 03:22:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
Anyone interesting in this project? There's a lot of room for guys ._. | 2011-05-30 20:40:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
You know me, i'll help (: that is, if you actually want me :'( Loolll, havent been on for a bit, went places, did stuff, made my leg go swollen, etc. not fun... | 2011-05-30 20:52:00 Author: TheLittleSoAndSo Posts: 181 |
Doesn't sound fun. But, I haven't really know how good your logic skills are so, Dunno yet. | 2011-05-30 21:06:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |

If you get the time, try playing my Cyberspace Deathmatch (http://lbp.me/v/x5fwm6) - its basically what your thinking of, with a different skin. Perhaps it can serve as a base for what your looking for? | 2011-05-30 22:11:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
Well, somewhat. Except for with AI enemys and team mates and more linear. And less LBP style | 2011-05-30 22:31:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
Good Old sidescrolling And less LBP style Huh? So, more of a close-up third person (side scroller)? | 2011-05-30 22:40:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
By less LBP style, I mean more realistic. Basicly a side view MW2 | 2011-05-31 00:56:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
this sounds... AWESOME. It's also crazy, but it just might work! My hat goes off to you if this is actually made! | 2011-05-31 01:10:00 Author: tersock Posts: 26 |
Well, I'm trying to do some of the logic. But I do REALLY need some logic guys. I'd really appreciate some people who are good at logic to help a bit. Because, I'm more of a visual person. Me and monkeysboys create a lot like him, so if that's not enough to get some people to help, I WILL PAY YOU! In love and care. Lol I'm kidding but I would really appreciate some help. I'm trying to get somewhat of a team together like I said before | 2011-05-31 02:05:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
Guess I could help out where I can - but I am having a few connections issues; so each would have to stay on own moon & send messages. | 2011-05-31 02:18:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
Well, sure. I think for what I'm doing I would need direct help, so whenever your stuff is fixed just let me know | 2011-05-31 02:30:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
Killstreaks can be recorded with what I call a "cell phone" method. A just-killed player emits a tag that can be read from the player that killed him. But for this to work, bullets must be player-specific (have their own tags "P1 Bullet" as an example) and that the bullets must know who they went through. Example: Player 1 kills Player 2 (preseumingly w/ a gun) Player 2's corpse has tag sensors that are looking for bullets that went through himself. Sensors pick up bullets that have activated tags that say "P2 Death by P1" Player 2's corpse activates a tag in response called "P1 Reward" Player 1 senses tag and is rewarded with whatever it is you are rewarding him! I hope this logic makes some sense. I'm using the method above in my own game, so hopefully this works out for you! | 2011-05-31 05:11:00 Author: Codybean1 Posts: 75 |

Still need suggestions guys | 2011-06-02 03:16:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
I've gone for Terminal as it's a favourite, but if you want to stay true to MW2, all maps should really be made. But thats just me | 2011-06-02 08:54:00 Author: TheLittleSoAndSo Posts: 181 |
I think that'd be a BIT thermo devouring. Lol I really don't know how many maps I'd be able to fit in one level to be honest | 2011-06-02 11:40:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
Heard of level links? | 2011-06-02 11:59:00 Author: TheLittleSoAndSo Posts: 181 |
Yeah I was going to do that, but I don't really want all my levels to be Modern Warfare. Lol | 2011-06-02 19:29:00 Author: SPARTANDUDE924 Posts: 285 |
