Where are these?

This is something I thought about when I got water in LBP1. Where are the water TILES? You know how it works with regular materials from the Goodies Bag? Why not have water like that, so you don't have to flood the whole level? And how about Water-Proof Sackbots? Any reason not to have them? I'd also want to see the option to import music from the PS3 directly into the levels, not just in your Pod and in Create. Selecting a place to have the camera would be nice. Say for example you want to make a First Person level. You could set the camera to be right at where Sackboy would look. Finally, MORE ROOM TO PUBLISH LEVELS! 20 makes you feel so limited... | 2011-05-29 17:58:00 Author: Unknown User |
Water Tiles equals major lag, LBPs engine probably couldn't handle that. Water proof sackbots would take up even more thermo. And you can publish 40 levels, twenty from each LBP | 2011-05-29 18:11:00 Author: Unknown User |
I meant more levels to publish in LBP2. In case you want to make a big series of movies or something. | 2011-05-29 18:14:00 Author: Unknown User |
There's a limit so the servers won't overload I believe, so it's not like MM just sat down and said: "Lets limit the fun they can have by giving them less level slots." And besides, if you were really putting time and effort into your levels than you probably won't reach the 20 limit anyways. | 2011-05-29 18:46:00 Author: Merc Posts: 2135 |
Importing music from your PS3 will never happen due to copyright concerns. The only way it could happen would be purchased music from sony--and that is so incredibly trivial to get around that the answer remains the same. | 2011-05-31 04:23:00 Author: roux- Posts: 379 |
This is something I thought about when I got water in LBP1. Where are the water TILES? You know how it works with regular materials from the Goodies Bag? Why not have water like that, so you don't have to flood the whole level? Probably too buggy to work with, who knows tho, they may be working to make something like hos as we speak, has also been suggested many times so maybe they'll do it? And how about Water-Proof Sackbots? Any reason not to have them? Yes, the A.I. is not "smart" enough to calculate up/ down/ diagonal movement, they may fix it later, but right now is a no go, same for why they can't use grappling hooks or jetpacks. I'd also want to see the option to import music from the PS3 directly into the levels, not just in your Pod and in Create. Already asked or many times along with pic importing, I think Mm already said its not happening, not to mention its been asked pretty much almost since the first game was out there, so they would've added this if they were planning to more likely, sadly seems its not happening. Selecting a place to have the camera would be nice. Say for example you want to make a First Person level. You could set the camera to be right at where Sackboy would look. First person view in 3 layers....I dunno if that'd work at all, controls would still be the same, keep that in mind, as you're still just switching camera view, so it'd be pretty awkward. Tho someone did find a glitch to make something like it, may wanna look into that. Finally, MORE ROOM TO PUBLISH LEVELS! 20 makes you feel so limited... It would be abused by spammers more than it'd be helpful. Hopw that helps! | 2011-05-31 06:15:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
i want all of those things as well as suport for 3D layers. these things could actually improve everything so much. lets just hope a nice person at mm decide to take a day off to try these things. | 2011-05-31 11:17:00 Author: nerzdadestroyer Posts: 1527 |
3D would overtax the physics engine. As it stands, LBP pushes the envelope of what the PS3 can do. However, I have a strong suspicion that E3 will include an announcement from Sony about the nextgen PS product, which would hopefully mean an LBP3 with placeable water. | 2011-05-31 21:54:00 Author: roux- Posts: 379 |
LBP2 does have a water material, like flowing water! I have used it many times...... you collect it from one of the story levels. | 2011-06-01 12:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
yea but its not like how the water we are talking about would be. you would be able to swim up the waterfall. | 2011-06-02 09:48:00 Author: nerzdadestroyer Posts: 1527 |
