| Hi - checked out your level.. very nice, chilled out.. found it quite tranquil. liked the way there was nothing and nobody about. | After days of playing so many generic story level themed levels it was so nice to play a level with a unique environment. The gameplay is well considered and the original setting adds considerable value. A couple of easy switch puzzles allow for fluid progress through the level. great use of lighting, especially representing shafts of light through broken roofs. In terms of improvement: -add more spot sound effects like eerie winds to emphasize the isolation and abandonment. - the occasional spot effect like dropping rubble or breaking glass falling. - varying camera angle between close claustrophbic....to isolation inducing pan outs. -although suggestive of urban decay there should be more rubble and detrius of the former inhabitants, bottles, cans, rust, cobwebs, yellowing background posters etc to increase the visual impact. | i placed a review on your level as well. 1. really simple yet effective visuals which really brings across the sterile environment. 2. gameplay also meshed well with the vibe of the level. 3. really liked the lighting and echo effects in the large desolate buildings. side note, the visuals kind of reminded me of the movie Equilibrium which is a good thing. check out my level when you get a chance as it is more of a scenic/visual level as well " Nature's Solitude" lbp.me link http://lbp.me/v/0kn3j2 | 2011-05-31 01:52:00 Author: juscallmeJ Posts: 77 |
