1.01 Doctor Cowboy's Electrial Slide

Stage Title: 1.01 Doctor Cowboy's Electrcial Slide

Hey all, this is my first published level.
When I was making it I looked at some of the best levels and wanted to make something that would be remembered for the right reasons.

My biggest concern was time. When I made my first version of it, I spent 4 days on it and it took 3 and half minutes to go through. Now without any flaws, it clocks in under 6 minutes, if you get most of the prize bubbles.

Everything in this stage is intentional - from the glass, or what I originally was going to call it "ice" because of it's slippery nature - and the original title was Monterrey Ice, due to ice being in the middle of the desert. I then realized that it was too short, and even in the form it was, I felt it at that time was too difficult. -- Now, I know a lot of people are going to HATE the level because unless you've gone through it 100+ times (as I did when making it) your timing WILL be off.

I really hope you enjoy it, and I do appreciate any positive or negative feedback - if there is something you do not like, I definitely want to know so I can avoid making those mistakes in my next level, which is currently in progress as

1.02 Doctor Cowboy in Which Mountain

- thank you all!

Edit: One final note. I don't do versions of levels. I will not publish a level until I determine it to be final. What you see is what I envisioned it to be. Hope you enjoy!!

So, what does everyone think?

Ok, after receiving the PM asking to review this one, I figured I might as well.
After all, it's the least I could do around here while waiting for the ability to get my level videotaped.

Anyway where was I? Oh yeah, the electrical slide.
Well the first thing to ponder is "what is it?" and the answer is fairly guessable: it's a slide made out of glass with occasional indents and stumps of wood, and only about 5% of the thing is actually electric. Oh, and a ****load of bubbles, like everywhere. Anyway, the electric slide in the case that slide is a noun explains the first half of the stage, the second half of the stage would have to use slide as a verb because there is no actual slide from then on out but rather a series of platforms that are extremely slippery and will cause you to "slide", and usually into electricity...which is everywhere.

Well as far as playability is concerned you could probably just sit back and relax for the first half and then come second half you might as well pick up the controller again and be prepared to mash R1 because the second race portion is nothing but floating sponge wheels with an abundance of checkpoints. Then, you get to the end, and by end I mean Point-fest up the but. Well, that's what I'd like to say anyway but I can't because there's a glitch in the level that I exploited at the end that makes further progress impossible (the sponge/winch blocks don't come back down if you fall).

All in all, this level feels like it falls under the category of "trophy whoring", even if it wasn't designed to be as such it still pretty much fits the tab down to the last penny. I suppose at the very least I'd recommend this one over all the other stages that are simply "7 trophies in 30 seconds" or something like it, simply because for a TW stage this one at least feels like a stage and not like a free lunch.

Final Score:
5.0 / 10
It's only barely amusing in my eyes, and there aren't any truly redeeming features about it, but hey it's probably the best TW level on LBP right now, so you don't have too much to lose...except maybe your dignity.
