MSF:AdventuresMrObycyek
A series of missions and training exercises with Big Boss and his MSF unit.
Hello. I figured I would just lump all my levels created so far into one group as they are all based on the the MSF unit created in Metal Gear Solideace Walker on the psp. Hardly original granted but I figured there was scope to have numerous new missions and adventures with Big Boss and his unit over the years preceding the original metal gear. I plan on making a lot of these adventures hopefully getting more and more complex and interactive as I develop.

This is a list of them all so far.
1.MSF:The Chilean Encounter,
2.MSF:The Chilean Encounter part 2
3.MSF:Train Escape,
4.MSF:Train Escape Updated
5.MSF:Field Test
6.MSF:Aid Convoy.

Anyone who plays them can unlock some of my characters and objects as prizes. These include Miller, MSF soldiers, CIA agents, enemy soldiers etc.
I have published six levels so far and that looks like all I will be able to publish in the forseeable future as I have not been sent an email to change my network password by Sony despite having requested one over a dozen times over the past week and a half. I have a lot of levels I am working on but am now concerned that I will not be able to publish them. I do have an alternate network account but I am not sure how that would affect my levels. Would they all disappear or can I publish them under a new name? Any advice on this would be great as I do not want to change my id and lose all my hard work.

Hello MrObycyk,

I'll try a few and tell you what I think. Unfortunately, I don't have time to try them ALL, as it appears it just will not fit into my schedule.
UGH! Life.

I sincerely hope other members of LBPC with LBP PSP will give you feedback as well.
It's imperative that we help our newer members advance in their creating skills and help them with all their endeavors.
I will be giving you feedback shortly.

copy levels to your moon, publish them on your new name.
I gave feedback on this in a pm didn't I ?

@The-Questor-: Be sure to try them out, they're quite good.
Notice the awesome background stickerwork.
They could use some polishing here and there.

Hello again MrObycyek,

I bare feedback with me this time around, I've tried a couple of your levels.
Your most played level and one level that I thought was the beginning level, for all the adventures.
Basically, MSF: Train Escape & MSF: Field test. On to the feedback:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bad

No Music
-The levels I played felt extremely empty because the only things I could hear were the faint sounds effects placed here and there. So just fill that emptyness with a little music and I'm sure your levels will attract more attention.

The Edge of The Level
-I saw the edge of the level in both the levels I played. It isn't extremely bad to see it but it ruins the immediate impression that the player experiences when he is exposed to it.

The Good

Impressive Sticker Work
-I was Baffled when I saw the Big Boss character at the beginnng of MSF: Field Test, it was absolutely amazing! And to follow that up, the sticker work was completely amazing throughout the entire level. I was extremely impressed by your devotion to proffessional adorning

Excellent Character Design
-Not much else to say basides that. I fell in love with all the characters in the levels I played.

The What

Metal Gear Solid FTW!
-Metal Gear Solid is EPIC.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I gave MSF: Train Escape :star::star::star::star: and I gave MSF: Field Run :star::star::star::star::star: & a <3
I was originally thinking to give MSF: Field Run just 5 stars, but it's very under appreciated so I gave a heart to it because I think it deserves more hearts.

See you around LBPC hopefully.

I've played a few of these levels now and I've really enjoyed them! The dialogue is top notch, and captures the feeling of Metal Gear Solid

The stickerwork is superb and the characters are sooo cool!! I had a lot of fun playing these and you immersed me in your MGS world. I can't wait to play the rest of your levels man

:star::star::star::star::star: and <3's all around - especially a key creator <3 for this awesome series

Thanks for getting back to me and taking the time to play my levels Questor. I have taken this advice onboard and have been going back over my old levels adding some background music to them and also working to remove the edge of the levels. The only one I can't alter is MSF:Aid Convoy as my thermo would not allow me to add anything to it. I am not sure if I will republish my levels (losing all those stars and hearts!) but any future levels will definitely have these new features so thanks for the feedback.

Thanks Questor. As Feargal Sharkey once said, a good heart these days is hard to find! I should be around LBPC for the forseeable future. I also finally got my email from sony so i can continue to use my old network id as well. I will be sure to download your levels and play them all.

Thanks Coxy. It's good to know my levels are appreciated. They are a bit rough round the edges in places but I am working to get them more and more polished as I improve. I have a ton of ideas for levels based around the MSF and feedback from people like yourself only encourages me to keep creating. I will be sure to check out your psp levels. Thanks again.

I totally agree, as I've played through more of your levels I can see the polish and gameplay improving and it's been great fun seeing how you've come along! I hope you do continue to create these levels, because you'll always have a heart from me for them

Keep up the good work!!

Thanks very much Coxy. I will try not to disappoint you! I very rarely feel like creating and can always think of other things to do and yet I find that is the best time to create. Once I published my first level I thought I had done enough and was going to just leave it for a bit but then I figured I may as well keep going. I'm glad people seem to like what I have done so far.

Thanks for the offer Random. I am still undecided as to whether I should re-publish my levels with the improvements thequestor recommended but when I finally make up my mind I'll take you up on that offer.

Thanks Valmassoi. I am not sure how the spotlight thing works but it is good to have my levels noticed.

Hey nysudyrgh. Yeah I have deleted MSF:Field Test, MSF:Train Escape and MSF:Train Escape Updated. I have replaced them with field test and train escape that have music and no edge of the screen. You must have been watching me like a hawk to have noticed this. The whole process only took a few minutes. I have worked on the chilean encounter 1 & 2 as well but have decided not too republish them just yet.

I am also still working on two other levels and hope to publish them at some point.

Don't worry I didn't understand spotlights at all when I came here, so let me explain.

The spotlight crew consisting of me, Coxy224, and VelcroJonze (and some people who vanished) play every level posted in the Level Showcase. If it is amazing, it becomes spotlighted. If it is good, but not phenomenal, it gets a spotlight nod. And if it just isn't good at all, it doesn't get mentioned.

Hope that helps, keep up the good work

Thanks for that info Valmassoi. 'Good but not phenomenal' yeah that sounds like me all right. Who knows maybe if I stick at it I may one day take the prize!

Managed to publish MSF:Survival. That now makes six. Hope people enjoy it. I started on it on saturday and worked on it on sunday and tuesday before publishing. I would appreciate any feedback.

I am also still deciding whether to finish off the remaining levels I am working on or actually call it quits for a while and try and start all over based on some tips from others.

MSF:Beach Training. Now published seven levels. Until I create a fully working Mother Base to act as a hub I figure I could use the MSF beach as a training level once more. I have changed the sky to blue and have put in a basic assault course, shooting range and newly designed characters. This level story wise also leads into a series of future levels that I am planning which will see Big Boss and his MSF embroiled in a brutal civil war. These are a series of levels that I have not yet started on but they are all in my head. Meantime I am currently still working on:

MSF:Aid Convoy Part2
MSF:Battle in Morrocco
MSF:Secret Meeting

MSF:Aid Convoy (part 2) published. That now makes eight levels. Managed to squeeze a lot into this one but I will need to start working on an Aid Convoy part 3 to finish this story off.

Coming soon:
MSF:Aid Convoy (Part 3)
MSF:Battle in Morrocco
MSF:Angolan Civil War (Part1)

Published MSF:Aid Convoy (part 3). That now makes nine levels in the series. This I would say is my most polished level yet and I was constantly fighting with the thermo throughout.. I could not wrap up the mission in this level so will have to make a part 4 featuring a fort battle to conclude the story. This level is set in an old abandoned mine and I was inspired to make a mine level of my own after having played and enjoyed The Mines by Shaja, Minecart Madness by Coxy224, Steam by Nysudyrgh and Mai Mai's Minecart Mishap by Infernal_Device the last of which is one of my favourite levels of all time. I hope people enjoy it and as always any feedback is welcome.

Coming Soon:
MSF:Aid Convoy (Part4)
MSF:Battle in Morocco
