Still not a touch on the skill of proper rally drivers, who aren't as good as F1 drivers.

Ken Block will never come close to the level of car control that man possesed. Infact, no one will, apart from Gilles Villeneuve, who never had a real chance to show us how good he was.

to be honest i think that ken block is much cooler than any F1 driver ever was or will be. most regular rally drivers are, but Gymkana? THATS FRICKIN AMAZING STUFF.2011-05-25 21:57:00

Yeah, Ken Block's good at what he does best. Don't get me wrong, I think his driving skills are pretty awesome, but compared to motor-sport he's more like motor-showoff.

Just look what happened to him in the WRC.

I never thought I'd see the day when the words "Ford Fiesta" and "0-60 in 1.9 seconds" could be in the same sentence. Wow... I'm more impressed with the work that car must've been through.2011-05-26 19:06:00

I never really cared for this.
Don't get me wrong, it takes skill to do this.

But in it's simplest element it's useless showboating.

But when you put any sport in it's simplest element, it's usually useless showboating. Take boxing for example.

I can't quite work out what that is meant to mean, however if you are suggesting that Ken Block is better at driving than an F1 driver... Well it just proves you have no idea. He's good at sliding a car that is set up specifically for what he does around a few different obstacles. Nothing that an F1 driver or rally driver couldn't do with a bit of practice.

I think he just means that F1 drivers are serious face and Ken Block isn't. He's more like the guy you'd want to get drunk with, if that makes any sense. I don't think it does but whatever.

Woah, thats some insane driving skills Ken Block has right there. The Segway-driver in the first video was left in the dust.
It looks pretty dangerous though. He was a bit recently taken to hospital, in march, but he is on his feet again now.

Does anyone else wonder how people think up all these different sports, when you think, some are abit pointless like? Like those people who go jumping around of buildings whilst doing flips and stuff, I'm not sure what it's called exactly, is it urban jumping? Who was the first person to think "I know, I'll jump off this building doing a flip, land with a rollie poly, run to a wall and run up it". That sort of thing has never crossed my mind haha.2011-05-27 21:43:00

That's parkour. And that is a thought that has always boggled my mind. But I'll 1-Up you and ask... Who was the first person to see a cow and think “I wonder what will happen if I squeeze these dangly things and drink whatever comes out?”

Haha that's true, I suppose you have to try everything once.

I'd rather go to the pub with an F1 driver though? Better than some loud American guy who just shouts 'YEAH DUDES' every time something happens...
