Minecart MadnessCoxy224 Travel to the Canyons for some minecart action. Swing, jump and battle your way through the cave for the highscore! I'm back !!! Okay here's my lastest level and as you can expect it has a canyon (a set of levels from LBP PS3) theme, probably overdone by now, but here's some more. You know the deal, F4F for all you beautiful people if you leave some good feedback Enjoy guys <3 | 2011-05-25 15:03:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |

Wow! Did not see this coming. Thanks for making another level coxy EDIT: Played. Loved it!! The minecart level in LBP1 was one of my favorites in story mode. I have to say, you remade it very well. Great visuals, some sequences similar to the LBP1 level, but not copied. :star::star::star::star::star: & <3 | 2011-05-25 22:20:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |

Minecart Madness Coxy224 Score: 8.4/10 Rating::star::star::star::star::star: & <3 Travel to the canyons to enjoy some minecart action. Swing, jump and battle you way through the cave for the highscore Story: None at all. N/A Gameplay: The minecart gameplay was very cool and fun. The platforming and went very smoothly, but there could be less spinning circles and more variety. 8.5/10 Music/Sound Effects: You use a good number of FX that fit well with the level The music was also a great choice that suited the enviorment well. 9.75/10 Astheitics: Material choice was so-so on the wood, but it looked way better when you incorperatec the fabric in the level. I liked the sections with wood in the middle layer a lot, more use of the thin layers would be good. The use of sticker was good, but it could have used a words a little less. The corner editing was very nice throughout the level, though there was some sloppy spots. OVerall the asthetics were done very well, but there were some rooms for improvemnt. 7.75/10 Originality: Really creative minecraft gameplay, very original. 10/10 Misc: Some lag towards the end. At one point just before the lagging starts, there's an area to fall through to the floor. 6/10 Minecart Madness is very invotative level with its minecart gameplay. It may have some flaws asthticly, but it is very fun. If you'd like to try some new gameplay, than play Minecart Madness. | 2011-05-28 01:47:00 Author: Random Posts: 673 |
Here we go. Stuff I Loved: This level is paced really, really well. I don't think I hit a single point where I was itching to go faster or wanting to slow down. The corner editing and palette were also very well handled. Stuff That Can Die In A Fire: Sadly, the mine cart with the grabby underneath it broke badly the first time I played this level, forcing me to start the whole level over. Seriously, it flipped over, dumping me into the Horrible Gas. Then, when I respawned, I figured I'd just grab the grabby and pull the thing right-side up, only to have the bolt break off of it, and the whole cart to explode into broken-physics-engine bits. Stuff That Was Kind of Meh: Stickers. Specifically, the "CALAVERA!" sticker. That sticker just kind of bugs me. I dunno why. Anyway, you got four stars and a heart. Would have been five easily, but I was all growly about having to restart the level after going that far into it. Plus, that was a pretty devastating break there, as it made it literally impossible to proceed. F4F: I got me a new level out now (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=57301-Wizard-s-Spire)! | 2011-05-28 14:07:00 Author: BlackWolfe Posts: 299 |
I haven't played very many of your levels, so I also gave some of those a play and they were well worth :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 each. The Bad I "Broke" Your Level Once -As mentioned above, I was also able to break your level after falling out of the cart through the back thick layer. It was really neat, however, and I didn't actually fall out of the level, but I fell through some weird areas in the background and ended up inside the second thin layered red material in the direction of the red/orange/yellow arrows. Unoriginal -I know you know this, but the whole minecart idea is a bit overused. However, you still did a fantastic job with your color scheme and corner editing that this wasn't a big deal. It's one of the best minecart levels out there anyways. The Good Splendid Color Scheme -The material choice was spot-on and really created that "Minecart" atmosphere. The Carts -They were all simple, yet neatly done. I liked that each section had a little bit different cart. The Length -Not too long, not too short. Just perfect. I could name plenty more, but my fingers hurt, sorry. XD The Hwhat Umm... You Stole My Idea! -Not really, but the level I'm currently working on and is about to be published has several of the same ideas in it! **Kicks self for not publishing level sooner** Just so you know, if it looks like I took any of your ideas, I already had a minecart and a, well, I don't wanna give it away. **Goes to improve look of minecart to meet Coxy's standards** The Rating -:star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 and a creator <3 if you don't already have one. As for feedback, just leave me some on Modern Warfare Survival whenever you get the chance. | 2011-05-29 02:11:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Hey Coxy!! You never fail to amaze me with your original takes on gameplay. This is one of the best levels I've played recently. I actually think this beats the Mm levels, just because I love the way psp sackboy handles. Your eye for details is second to none, your levels all have a nice polished look to them, especially your corner editing skills. I found nothing wrong with this at all, except I will never beat your high score. Keep up the great work, and congratulations on another well deserved spotlight! | 2011-05-29 22:33:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |

Great level there Coxy, I really enjoyed it. Loved the carts hitting the switches, the look off the level, the style and design....all great. There was one point were I wasnt sure where to go, but I think thats me just being a berk, soon played through again trying to ace it. Great level and a well deserved Spotlight!!! | 2011-06-01 21:49:00 Author: JetArtois Posts: 232 |
I need to catch up on PSP levels. xD *Runs for PSP but somehow is still sitting in this chair typing this sentence that you are reading* EDIT: Wow! It reminded me of the canyons on PS3! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: and a well deserved <3 | 2011-06-02 02:38:00 Author: ConverseFox Posts: 2333 |
EDIT: Wow! It reminded me of the canyons on PS3! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: and a well deserved <3 Thanks for the heart! That's really the aim of the level, I wanted it to feel like an addition to the Canyons, if it were on PSP Really glad you enjoyed it. | 2011-06-08 10:18:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Okay! So my return is less than stellar! Whatever. I'll play this in like an hour, okay? Some of us have school. Stop yelling at me! It's not my fault someone forgot the cookies and champagne! Are you even drinking age, because it's still like a year for me! Why would you bring something we can't drink!?!?! Umm... Yeah, I'll give this a play-through... That was the weirdest comment I've ever posted... | 2011-06-15 15:42:00 Author: Fading-Dream Posts: 164 |

The Bads The Amazing Drop -Well, at one point in the level I dropped down from your created material to the bottom of the background. I'm sure your aware of this though because I'm not the first one to mention it... The Goods Superb Sceneric Sequencing! -I don't know why but there was something about the order of scenery that dazzled me. Perhaps it was just raw skill? Gripping Platforming -I enjoyed every last bit of the platforming....EVERY LAST BIT. The What Too Short -Not your level, my feedback! I just can't find anything else to write about. Sorry. :-( :star::star::star::star::star: & a <3 This feels like it belongs in the Canyons Level Series...Just Saying... | 2011-06-16 01:47:00 Author: The-Questor Posts: 1328 |
*Looks at last comment and glares at how sarcastic it was supposed to come out, yet realizes that sarcasm on the internet is fail..." Anyway, I really enjoyed this level. Just a good platformer. It really did remind me of the ps3, so props for capturing that feeling. Good job! | 2011-06-16 04:01:00 Author: Fading-Dream Posts: 164 |
So this was the first community PSP level I've tried, which means I don't have much to compare it to except the few story levels I've played. I thought the level design itself was quite good, and between the mine carts, various switches, and spinning wheels there was a nice variety to the platforming. The materials were well chosen and did give that canyons feel, but I thought the level itself was a little plain, a few more decorations/details might have been nice. Keep in mind I'm used to LBP2 and haven't even tried the level editor in the PSP. Anyway, I thought it was quite fun, I gave it 4 stars but I have no idea if scores/ratings get uploaded back to the server... | 2011-06-16 18:03:00 Author: fullofwin Posts: 1214 |

Thanks for the feedback it is quite plain but there is no decorations on the PSP version which is the main difference in visuals (well that and lighting)!! @Fading + Question - thanks a bunch for playing and your scores! Really glad you liked it and thanks for pointing out the big fall, I really need to fix that! | 2011-06-16 18:28:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
there is no decorations on the PSP version Ha ha, didn't know that obviously. I can't imagine creating without my decorations; the boss in the LBP2 level I recently published is almost entirely composed of decorations on invisible holo! | 2011-06-16 18:39:00 Author: fullofwin Posts: 1214 |

Yeah the decorations are a small setback but if you keep an open mind while you're in create mode and look at some of the tutorials in the forums you'll have everything you need right in front of you. You can actually make some really neat things quicker than before with the revamped corner editor and when you get the hang of the static/dynamic materials you'll be golden. As for your question on whether the scores will be uploaded, from what I've gathered, as soon as you go online again after playing a level, hearting a level, or rating a level, it'll update all of that into the servers. I think the only time it doesn't is if you delete the level before going online again. I hope you enjoy creating on PSP and if not, at least playing the levels already made. Congrats again on the spotlight Coxy. | 2011-06-16 22:51:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |

Review: Tah bads! : Well Only two bad things were found... It was far away to closed one checkpoint from the Race Starting... And I can't explain that second bad in english "This is good" : All the outlook were great! It was LittlePitCopy of LBP 1 the canyones level | 2011-07-16 19:39:00 Author: doggy97 Posts: 964 |
I finally have gotten some time for some LBP and have been trying to catch up on all the levels I've missed. =D sorry thought will be quick due to time constraints. This level is more LBP than most of the LBP psp story levels. You have constructed a scenic environment for people to explore, while giving them great ride along the way. The gameplay is mixed very well and never gets dull. The level is enjoyable to replay when going for the high score. Well done, great level! :star::star::star::star::star: & <3 edit- yeah the minecart being pulled by the wench was a little flakey but it alway reset itself for me | 2011-07-22 04:57:00 Author: Xenon Posts: 306 |
