Pretty cool stuff you got there, care to share how you made this, software/hardware?
I really like walking home, very BOC-style

Keep up the good work,

Thank y'gaiz; I use Logic Studio and several third party synthesizers. I mostly record my own claps/vocals/etc and layer the sampled drums with a 909.2011-05-23 12:00:00

I wish haha. Actually Logic has several drum kits containing CR-78, TR-606, 808 and 909 sounds.

I had a listen to this before and it's awesome!

Good luck with it all!

Also, I need more drum machine emulators. Alls I got is an 808, plus a bunch of other Ableton pre-set's which aren't that good.

Thanks man! I've tried out the Ableton demo and was intimidated by it's interface haha. I don't think it downloaded fully/correctly because there were no drum kits or synths, only presets which I could hardly alter. Scary stuff :/

Hmm...really? When I had the demo, it had everything the full version has. The only issue was that you couldn't save any of your work.

Personally, I like the interface. Rather than pre programming everything, you need to launch tracks at certain times otherwise you screw up. Make it that bit more analogue in an otherwise digital world.

And by "analogue" I mean "Click" lol.

Those classics are still fun to fool around with, even if it's not hardware.

I actually had tesame experience as you when i first launched ableton (long time cubase user), very intimitading, and different then your ordinary DAW, but once you know the hang of it, it's pretty amazing. They actually have pretty good build in tutorials, they really helped me to get me started.
This program is just perfect if you make electronic music btw

Tons of choices man, i really like this one for example, micro-tonic from sonic charge.

Their new toy "patternarium" looks pretty dope aswell btw

Those are some interesting drum machines. Almost makes me wonder how much you can do instead of just using stand alone software [which I've done for years] haha.2011-05-25 23:27:00

Hehe... if you use those in your DAW you can automate just about anything, possibilites are pretty endless that way. I have microtronic and it's a very 'in your face' drummachine which reminds me a lot of an elektron machinedrum, don't have patternarium but it's looks mighty fun

Do you happen to have a longer version of 'at the window'? I really like it, but it's only 37 seconds

Sorry for the late response! My internet took a dump for a while haha.
I'm going to invest in some drum machines soon, me and my friend want to start a joke genre called 'elbowgrease' which will contain a LOT of drums
As for 'At the Window', unfortunately I don't have a longer version; it's literally just a raw [snippet] recording of me improvising on a midi keyboard. I kept hearing potential for different melodies throughout and didn't know which direction to go, but eventually I just left it at that.

Nice one bruddah!

Thanks for making it free, you're awesome!

Also, can I ask what MIDI keyboard you use? I'm tempted to get one. I found this one (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001DE28RA/ref=asc_df_B001DE28RA3054749?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B001DE28RA) which is pretty neat, but it would be good to get your opinion.

Thanks man! I just got a typical one that had a modulator wheel, volume, and octave button [for cheap] at Samash. I basically use it just to tap on while messing with synths and improvising. That one you have there looks interesting though.2011-06-01 21:05:00

You're not on iTunes, why?

Great stuff thar!

EDIT: Challenge for you... Could you create an action beat? What you'd typically hear behind an action scene in a (Tron) movie?
