?Its all your fault? the Captain cries. ?Its all your fault! Go find another and don't come back til you do!? --- Big thanks to Velvet--Audio for making the great instrumental for this level.

Hi Central! L1GhTmArE here again to bring you the next installment to the Skallywags series but with a new twist! One is that the series has a story now (somewhat) and also the detail has went up ALOT. The first level is a movie that explains the plot and the second is the actual level. I will advise to play by yourself for the best results. Also a big thanks to my buddy Velvet--Audio for the great music he made specifically for the level. Also thanks to my many testers for going through the growing pains of this level as it was being built. I hope you enjoy!

Nice! Hopefully this wont disappoint you.

Loved this. Perfect atmosphere. Deserves attention.

Thanks! Glad the level felt right. Tried to make everything flow together. I think what brought it together was the music. Velvet did a nice job I think

Hey L1ght, played this today, and LOVED it! I think if flows brilliantly. The difficulty is spot on, and the visuals are top notch. I had a little problem with the little bounce pad in the beginning though. When I grabbed it I grabbed it from the top, and it flipped upside down. Should be an easy fix though. Just make the upper grabby thing un-grabbable until the pad slides down a little. Great work man!!2011-05-22 03:20:00

Awesome job on this yet another exciting Steampunk level, L1GhTmArE!

VISUALS:
Really detailed steampunk visuals with impressive cornet edit, stickering, and decorating. The intro movie is well made, too.

SOUND:
Great use of the cinematic musics in the prologue level. The custom music the in Scrap yard level, on the other hand, is one of the most epic I've ever heard. Velvet--Audio is such a genius music composer.

GAMEPLAY:
As always, you came up with some very powerful platforming gameplay. This level has some unique and puzzling obstacles to enjoy, and they're pretty challenging too, but in a very interesting way.

OVERALL:
This is a must play. A , a <3, and a positive review.

Wonderful levels.

Nice story.

The visuals on the second level blew me away; extremely detailed to the point of being cluttered (suitable, it's a scrapyard after all), but without at any time compromising the gameplay (you can still see where to go next).

Great gameplay. Original and in parts very challenging obstacles. I had to redo the right scrolling jump-platform over the pipes and fiery wheels a whole lot of times before I got the hang of it.

Awseome custom music in the second part.

All in all: had a lot of fun.
Incredible stuff.

Excellent visuals and atmosphere just like i expected the gameplay was good and i really liked the crazy captain pirate person. Found it a little difficult but could be due to the fact that i'm rubbish at any none top down platformers.

The music suited as well. Good Job can't wait to see more.

Played this a while ago, but only found this thread now to give my thoughts on it. I was worried when playing it I'd need to replay the first one to remember what had happened for the level to make sense to me, but it was a pleasant surprise to be able to play through it without being confused or lost about any of the plot or anything. The level had a great visual look and atmosphere to it, and some of the gameplay like the grabbable bounce pads was really innovative. A brilliant sequel even as a stand alone without the first part. 2011-05-31 13:06:00

I just have to say, they are wonderful levels! The gameplay is superb not too hard to be annoying yet no easy enough to get bored of, and visuals are just the perfect eye candy! I did encounter two bugs with the level though:

When you arrive at the hook you need to grab and swing to get over to the place with the first punce-pad thingy following a path, the one where one chain detaches, when you grab it, it makes the groaning metal sound again from when it detached. I do believe that is not the intention?

Also, when there is the section after the bounce-pad railway where you got to fly into a tube where something can go wrong. The place where the two platforms switch between going one layer out and one layer in. I managed to take only two of the bubbles on it, which resulted in one of them falling in front of the platform when it was in the hinder layer. It did not get out before I had to die for getting it. Maybe something to make that point bubble disappear if that would happen?

Anyway, great level, I love the effects, keep creating such awesome stuff

hey i played these two levels a few days ago and i also left some feedback on your page.
the movie was really, really well done, nice set up to the 2nd level.
the 2nd level had a tremendous amount of detail which was great but also caused a bit of lag in areas where timed jumps were crucial. one of the more challenging levels i've played, and i've played a lot of levels. great job all around though definitely had some refreshing platforming action.
check out my level if you get the chance, its more of a relaxed scenic level, feedback is welcome

Nah, I did that on purpose. Since the place is rusted out then I thought the sound effect should play over if weight is pulling on it XD. The other I have taken care of...hopefully. Thanks for playing Much appreciated!

Ill check your levels out juscallmeJ
