This just happneed today (as in like, sometime in the past hour-ish), and I have no idea what caused it. My Sackboy seems to be standing/moving at the very front of each thick layer, not in the middle. I don't think this is the ThecX-Men glitch from what I understand of it; ThecX-Men isn't fixable without restoring a previous unglitched profile, and this fixed itself briefly a few minutes ago. I'm not sure if it will actually be a gameplay problem, per se, but it looks very very weird. And I worry that it may be indicative of/cause other problems. It looks like I am standing on the thin layer in front of each thick layer, but I walk behind thin layers with no problem. Possible culprits: - yesterday I grabbed theck and thack (and some other goodies) from Aya's level; I think this is not the issue, as this only manifested in the last hour or so - I was helping a friend edit his very complex (as in, way too much stuff going on) level when I noticed this. I had been standing in front of a middle-layer in-out mover that is set to push, but obviously can't push me out of the front layer, right before noticing this. (It may have happened earlier). Funny enough, I backed up my profile yesterday before hitting Aya's level. all else fails I can restore--but will I lose the 10 or so hours of work I've done on my latest level since then? HALP. I'm online right now, psn roux-, if you need to come see the problem before diagnosing. Edit: what the smeg, it's fixed again. Have I got gremlins?

Edit: what the smeg, it's fixed again. Have I got gremlins? LBP2 is still pretty buggy, so expect all sorts of weird things to happen. Shutting down and restarting the game fixes most of the more minor issues. For issues which persist between restarts of the game, your best bet is to do a profile rollback, so just be sure to make frequent backups. FWIW, you wouldn't have to lose the 10 hours of work, since you can just export the level in its current state, rollback the profile and reimport the level.

The weird thing is I didn't even restart my PS3. It just... went back to the way it was. And I can't figure out what caused the glitch nor what fixed it. Gremlins, I tell you.

Update: I've narrowed it down. It definitely is my friend's level. Interestingly, it seems to be a matter of spawn order. We tested this by having him pop; when he respawned, he was at the front of thick layers and I was normal. Then I popped, and we switched places again. He says he's not using any glitch material, so it can't be that. Very strange.
