| since the Network went down we don't have much of a community, i remember when people made a review request or F4F or music help or community project and BAM like 100 people show up and go well im not amazing but i want to contribute and this was amazing becuase everybody got involved. Now nothing is going on, nobody is really doing anything toward the "Community". Maybe the downtime was just long enough for many newcomers to the game to loose interest? New and long awaited titles might also be pulling people away from the game right now as well. The good news is that the true hardcore fanbase of this game never really go away forever. | As a fairly new starter here, I have been tempted to offer help and have posted a little in the Help! section. I live mostly in the showcase threads, and like to think I am offering things there. I do feel a little... uncomfortable... (not really the right word) when it comes in to offering to help. At this stage I am sure there are smarter people than me and I'm still finding my feet. I don't want to stick my hand up and.... ruin... (not really the right word again) a community creative effort. I hope to prove my skills (mainly to myself) before I would feel comfortable offering to do stuff with a group or other such things. The level showcase thread has been moving so quickly due to down time that I have a massive list queued that I have promised myself to get through what I have and comment in as much detail as I can before I publish my first full stage which I guess is a form of community support, although I do hope that when I do finally publish that I am treated the same with detailed constructive criticism. | 2011-05-22 02:40:00 Author: Mr_Fusion  Posts: 1799 |
