Get By With A Little Help From Your Friends

Archive: 6 posts

Well... this started out as an Easter level for my kids. During the PSN outage I worked on it to add some extra challenges and give it some polish. I tried publishing it as an Easter level (and even now it still has Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies, and peeps) but it got zero love (1 play over two days). So I renamed it and took out the "Happy Easter" intro, but it is still getting utterly ignored (so far it has zero plays on it). I guess the real problem is not folks avoiding an Easter level, but no one wanting to play a strictly 4 player level.

So if you're pod is full of friends, give this one a try. A series of 4 player, cooperative puzzles for your entertainment. I think you'll like it!

Is there any chance to change the level to be playable for single player ? I jumped in the level knowing that it is for 4 players, but I can't collect that much ! What I could see, it looks nice and "host" is fun. I'm really interested because I like puzzle type level.

And of course, if you have 5 minutes, please play my versus level Mad house (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=56662-Mad-House) LBP.me (http://lbp.me/v/z4bz-y)

There's really not... the reward for solving each puzzle is an open door leading to the next puzzle. So right from the start you'd be stuck. Thanks for checking it out though.

I will queue yours up...

managed to round up 4 young sacks up for a bit of four player action and gave this a spin.
Wow, I wouldn't even know how to plan something like this, i found even 2 player co-op tough to create but here it was innovative and flowing fun from the off. Even without using our speech poppits we managed instinctively to progress through section after section. Each of which had its own unique gameplay device to allow passing to the next.
Good use of colours, cameras and a nice clean visual interface helped the party feel. We didn't manage to finish, we arrived at the section where you pull the two halves of the yellow/purple balloons together...this then indicated a square area in the foreground, nothing triggered from that point on? Will happily have another crack at this fun level.

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

Hmmm... Odd... So after you got the two halves together, it gave the cut-scene indicating where to go next, but no panel opened up for you? (There should be a panel in the floor that opens for you to drop down into... it will require all players... but it sounds as if it never opened?).

Will happily have another crack at this fun level.I will look into the spot where you ran into trouble and see what I can find. If/when I get it fixed I'll let you know - I'd love it if you and your friends played it again.

Thanks again for the play and for the feedback.

EDIT: Found the problem and fixed it. Just playtested it with some friends and found a few minor camera and functionality issues, but were definitely able to complete it now (there was no way to get past where you got stuck before I fixed it though, so THANK YOU very much!).
