I know that others have probably suggested this already, due to the fact that it would be very convienant. Now I think the way we have the screen settings are great, with versus levels we can be at different parts of the level at the same time, and that has been helpful, although, when more than one person are playing on the same PS3, there's a disadvantage involved, that I personally feel should be dealt with. Players on the same PS3 cannot be at different areas of the level at once. They're forced to stay together or die. Split screen however would be a wonderful way to prevent this! I think it's very convienant that other online players are not split on the screen, but for people on the same PS3, this is much needed, and would be very helpful, and would make a lot of sense in a versus level. Also, I think that when creating a coop level, we should have the option to have the same screen settings as a versus level, and vice versa! It would be very helpful to have each screen setting as an option for both versus and coop levels. If you like this idea, vote it up! If the majority support this and agree, they may just work on setting this up for us.

Perhaps the reason for lack of split screen offline is same with most online games such as Uncharted 2. It can't be done because the PS3 wouldn't be able to handle trying to load up double the amount of things due to each player being in different areas and stuff, so perhaps that's the same reason for the lack of split screen in LBP2.

Split screen would be a great idea, Only if it were possible. Which it probably is except that the game will be laggy.

Sadly a mentioned before by Moonface, its most likely something coused by lack of processing power rather than a function they decided not to add, thus not something that can just be "patched in."

Yeah great idea. Splitscreen would help with puzzle games too.
