Breaking bounce pads

Archive: 3 posts

So I have set up a system (like the one in the tower of woop) where have a bounce pad attached to a piece of material (cardboard at first then i changed it to basic metal) this is then attached by a piston set to flipper motion which for now it attached to block of White matter. The general effect of this is that when the bounce pad is triggered (by being hit by a projectile the whole thing shoots up.

This works fine most of the time however every now and again the bounce pad ontop will break or snap (you know where it does that crunch sound as if it was crushed by a heavy object). I have tried to work out the cause of this by moving them apart, changing the material of the bit the bounce pad is glued to and changing the projectile to plasma so there is no impact force. But it still happens every now and again seemingly in a random pattern.

Can anybody help?

I've had trouble with bounce pads getting destroyed. Try using a material tweaker set to indestructible. It fixed my issue.
