What kind of car do you have? Bike people can come too! :)
Archive: 79 posts
Yes I know, the majority of the people on this website don't own a car or bike, let alone a drivers license. But this thread is for those of us that do. And this thread is to discuss anything about your car or your future car! Talk about the modifications you've made to your car or are thinking of making, ask for suggestions, ask about its legality (), ask questions about the modifications you want to make, or just talk about a car that you think is sexy. I love cars and have loved Mustangs ever since I could remember and I know of one certain couple on this site that own one. I'll post a picture of my car when I get home. Anyways discuss, and try to keep this thread alive please. | 2011-05-18 23:21:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
I have a little citroen c1, and I absolutely love it. Theirs quite a few on the roads at the moment as their are Peugoet and Toyota versions of the car to. They are all made in the same factory. I know it isn't a DREAM car or anything but I still love them all the same. I was quite gutted they didnt appear on GT5 after reading a car list saying they were on it haha. | 2011-05-18 23:27:00 Author: dbibby88 Posts: 378 |

I love cars. I love all machines. Mine is an ancient 3-door hatchback. I haven't made any modifications other than new spark plugs. I love how annoyed other people get while driving. I love when someone tailgates and leading them over potholes and stuff that they can't avoid because they can't see anything. Project car: '82 VW Golf MK1 Marry me? Marry me? Why do all modern cars have look so ugly and bloated and heavy compared to cars like these. Mainly because of modern safety specifications and the fact that they're made by computers and robots as apposed to some bloke called Alan who works in the factory. I prefer classic styling too, but you just can't beat modern reliability. Hence, my project MK1! The exhaust on it sounds like the devils terrier! >:3 | 2011-05-19 00:34:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |

That's sad. The more a pedestrian gets hurt when I run them over the better. :< Lol! That type of safety styling makes for some really ugly, overweight looking cars imo. Good for safety, but ugly looking. They're a fairly recent thing though y'know and cars changed in looks way before that feature was even thought of. Crumple zones and airbags are what really changed the way cars were built....that and computers, all about those computers. My Golf has no airbags, the crumple zone is your face, basically it has no safety features at all....the seats aren't even bolted in (yet!) I highly doubt the exhaust is loud enough even to aggravate your ears, let alone have them blasted. If it's loud enough to cause enough vibration to set off car alarms, it's more than loud enough to cause hearing damage. I'm speaking as a former raver here; I have nothing against loud noise in context, when I choose to be around it. Walking down the street on a nice spring day (not that we've had any yet, wet and gross here) is not the time when I want to hear BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP going by. | 2011-05-19 06:40:00 Author: roux- Posts: 379 |

458 Italia says hi. http://www.2dayblog.com/images/2009/july/ferrari_458_italia_1.jpg That's a supercar though. Super car styling has always been nice to look at, that's one of the reasons why they're built. I think what Ayneh was trying to say is that the cars you'd normally see everyday all look the same, bland and all quite similar styling-wise. Compared to 30 years ago, when manufacturers were still experimenting with different designes, todays cars all look like clones...Unless you live somewhere where every other car is a supercar! http://www.radcollector.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/pulp4.jpg *Drool* My dream car. She's nice. How do you fair against the other guys in lap times? (usually) Thanks! I love that car.. lol... I am usually passing pretty much everything in my run group, but not totally due to the car. I have a video from that same day where I pull out of pit lane and proceed to pass everything that went by me while I was sitting in the pits. There are much faster cars out there though.. I can just drive 9/10's quite well in this one which shows up any car with a lesser driver. Did you lower it yourself? If not do you know how much it costs to get it lowered? Also do you have a picture of the exhaust system? Anyways that's a beauty. Nope.. I just ordered the parts from shox.com and had my dealer install them. Every car is different so pricing is a bit misleading. Seems like parts were $950? Can't recall how much labor it was. I try to forget that! I also had to get a K-Mac Rear Camber kit ( Half kit ) as well for that which isn't in my list. The guy that does my dealers suspension work used to work for an Indy Car team and tweaked it with extra camber in the front and rear. He did an awesome job too... If they're as good as Borlas are I might have to consider them. Not sure about being chambered.. I just know I liked them on this car better than Borlas. My buddy had both on his TT and sold his Borlas when he got his blue flame set. I liked them much better. Blue Flame Exhaust can be found on ebay. (http://myworld.ebay.com/blueflame_performance_exhausts/) Do you work in a club or at a hairdressers/salon, jwwphotos? At least it's a hardtop... Ummm... no, not even close. Why do you ask? | 2011-05-20 03:18:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
That's already pretty flash. What are you planning to trade up to? :o I'm not entirely decided yet, to be honest. A lot will depend on where I end up in the next few months, but I will probably try to pay off this lass asap then look to getting a "fun" car. I only bought her back in November, so we have some time together yet. I'm thinking an Evo X if I trade up, or if not, then maybe a Lotus Elise, Porsche Cayman, or BMW M3. Then I'll bug jww for racing lessons | 2011-05-20 03:39:00 Author: Thegide Posts: 1465 |
Yeah... you know about that stereotype that us Americans drive gas-guzzling, ridiculously large trucks? Well... that's me. xD I gots me a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 http://www.waynestrucks.com/1999_Dodge_Ram_3500_4X4_Quad_Cab_Dually/1999_Dodge_Ram_3500_4X4_Quad_Cab_Dually.jpg Got a turbo charger and upgraded transmission thrown in, plus a massive amount of torque behind that wheel. My baby gets about... 9, 10 mpg ;_;. I've nicknamed it "the sole reason for global warming", since it spews out black smoke when shifting gears. However, this truck will haul just about anything. My dad used it once to yank out a semi truck lodged in a ditch. But, when he has to use it, I'm stuck with this: http://images.safeform.com/stock/300/TOYOTA/TACOMA/2006/2PU.JPG It's down-right puny. -_- | 2011-05-20 03:45:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
Ridiculously massive truck It'd be illegal for me to even drive that until I was 21! Not to mention I wouldn't be able to park anywhere that has less then 4 parking spots placed together | 2011-05-20 04:20:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
Ummm... no, not even close. Why do you ask? Because it's a hairdressers car? Just like a: Lotus Elise or BMW Z-series. You don't have that stereotype in the USA I guess. | 2011-05-20 05:28:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |

Because it's a hairdressers car? Since when are they "hairdressers cars". Audi isn't that kind of vehicle, y'know Audi's are pretty bad-*** if you ask me. Just think about the Audi R8: http://www.autoexpert.ca/Files/images/news/news_17_02_07-Audi-R8-avant.jpg | 2011-05-20 07:16:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |

Since when are they "hairdressers cars". Audi isn't that kind of vehicle, y'know Audi's are pretty bad-*** if you ask me. It hasn't got anything to do with the make, but the model (in this case the older TTs). Not at all.. besides, most hairdressers can't afford the payments. Well... unless they are really good or something. Obviously it doesn't literally mean hairdressers own them, that's just the impression it gives: a flowncy, poser car - at least on this side of the atlantic. Certain cars have reputations, like Ford Capris. I'm just being playful btw, I don't care what car people drive really. <3 | 2011-05-20 19:22:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |

Yeah, the TT does unfortunately have a bit of a 'hairdressers' rep in the EU...but not when they're dubbed out like yours is Jww, no siree. 285 HP is insane. Do you use it as a daily car as well as a track car? Also, any vids? I want to hear how it sounds! | 2011-05-20 19:39:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |

I guess I probably do hang around quite a few more cars that are modded more than most and don't think about it. I will see what I can dig up, but in the meantime here is a small one I did prior to exhaust mods. I just got signed off to Solo on this track and went back out for a few more before the session was over. This was at Mid Ohio as well, but quite awhile ago. Notice the cars that flash by me while I am leaving pit lane are the ones I end up passing. I go much faster now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KCZrOdQIlk | 2011-05-20 20:47:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KCZrOdQIlk Quite the driver my friend. Anyways no wonder I had never heard of Blueflame exhaust. Turns out it's made mainly for cars that have the exhaust in the center of the car. That's a shame because they look amazing. | 2011-05-20 21:02:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KCZrOdQIlk Man, that look like fun! Nice driving too, I heard some tyre squeal round some of those sharper corners! It's funny, when I hear your voice at the beginning, I can only picture your sackboy in the driving seat! xD | 2011-05-21 00:16:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |

It's funny, when I hear your voice at the beginning, I can only picture your sackboy in the driving seat! xD Thanks! It is the most fun ever.. you just don't want to screw up. Sorta like that South Park episode with the ski instructor. "If you pizza when you mean to french fry, your gonna have a bad time." I'll have to dig up some autoX stuff as well. HA! I forgot I was talking a bit. I bet that is quite a weird mental pic of my sackboy driving. I think he would do it a bit goofier though and shout at stuff more. lol | 2011-05-21 02:42:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |

After getting my license this summer, there's a dealership about 6 miles off of where I live. They currently have this baby... http://www.carsmodification.co.cc/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/2008_vw_r32-thumb.jpg http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200702/2008-volkswagen-r32_460x0w.jpg The 2008 Mk.5 R32. I've got a silver '99 Chevy Malibu LS (much like the one in the pic, but it's too dark out to take a real pic of mine) http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k147/SamaraRose7/99chevymalibuls.jpg I love my Malibu, I just need to find a job so I can fix it up a bit. | 2011-05-24 08:47:00 Author: Unknown User |
