More admins?

No offense to CC or anything, but I think there needs to be at least one more admin, since CC is not very active lately.

I've been trying to get Aya into an admin because he's pretty much an admin already for a while now. He already does a lot of admin stuff so he's really just an admin, just not in name. I think anyway >_> <_<2011-05-18 11:23:00

Thats why I vote for him. And of course, for Morgana because of the same reason, you know? She's like a motherly figure around here, so why not give her full mother power.

EDIT : How do I add a multiple choice poll at the top? I wanted to have a list of all mods and have people vote on which one(s) they want as admins.

Go to "Thread Tools" at the top above the OP and it's at the bottom of the drop-down menu. Just know that you can only put up one poll on a thread (for some silly reason) and once it's up it'll be there forever and you can't make any changes to it or take it down (unless you make a new thread). Hint Hint...new admin or CC...make an "Edit Poll" and/or "Delete Poll" option.		2011-05-19 00:46:00

I agree whole- heartedly. It would be a huge help to CC, as he's pretty busy ATM.

There's already been plenty of attempts to get another Admin, i myself started and participated in some of these, but all result in: "CC is busy, so no." Which i don;t understand how that doesn't enforce the point to get another admin, but apparently it does.

Anywho, long story short, CC doesn't wanna be replaced/ upstaged by someone else, so he doesn't want co-admin so there's 0 possibility of it happening in the 3 years he's away.		2011-05-19 03:01:00

Right, but what is it that an admin needs to do that isn't currently being done? In other words, what is lacking that a moderator or super-moderator can't already do?

Well, I am not trying to replace CC. I am just saying that he is busy. REALLY busy. And so, since he is busy, I think it would be nice if he let someone else around here take a little bit of the burden of being an admin off his shoulders so he doesn't have to spread himself out so thinly. This actually my trying to be really nice to CC, not replace him. Not that that is even possible. As far as I am concerned nobody even could.

Also, In order to make a proper poll, I'll have to have a list of all mods. Thanks.

Also also, If we were to "get rid" of a few mods in this manner we would obviously need a few new ones, so post your suggestions for that too. No one less than a year membership tho, please.		2011-05-19 05:58:00

Actually I don't think we need more Admins.
More doesn't mean better.
I had been a vice-admin on a forum, but I left it when I see that every major proposal of mine was canned from the founder of the forum, and he was never on the forum.
Then I did the things anyway and people were cool with it.
So, instead of complaining about the lack of Admins...but there's lack of ideas, try to gather a crew of cool people, come up with a nice and serious idea, then forward it to CC.
He'll be happy to listen to you.

He is just spread so thin and I am suggesting a way he can help himself.
If he has a good reason to not make someone an admin, then please post it CC, we would love to hear it.

A poll is a bad idea, it would be more of a popularity contest than actually based on who has the most experience. If we're going to have a new admin, I vote the mods and CC choose. And in reply to "No one less than a year membership tho, please," a lot of mods actually became mods before they reached 1 year membership, Aya042, Schm0 and even CC. So I don't see why that would be a good idea either. Not that I see the community selecting mods a good idea at all though.

CC is busy just for one more month while he's working to get into college. Once he's in college, he'll be able to spend more time here. This is silly for two reasons.

1. Aya already has limited admin powers and has access to any of the tools that he might need as an admin.

2. While I love Morgana as much as everyone else, she doesn't have the technical know-how to run a website. She knows this, and it's not meant to insult her; it's just how it goes.		2011-05-19 13:53:00

Yeah, I really don't see what Morgana being an admin would really accomplish. I mean, she's great with people and makes a wonderful mommy-er, mod, but I don't really think she'd be useful as a real admin for reasons stated above.

Only reason I want Aya to be an admin is because he's already a stealth admin. Just me trying to make things make perfect sense as I am ought to do. Well, also so that some admin asks could be done by someone else but Aya already does a lot of those, so yeah, mostly just for completion sake. So admin wise not sure why we need more. Look, I wasn't trying to start anything, I just was noticing how busy CC is and was trying to help him out. I did not know that he would be busy for another month, so forgive me. Also, I didn't know aya was already pretty much an admin. (And on that note, why not make it official since it pretty much is already) I am sorry if I offended anyone, I was just trying to suggest something that might help him out and didn't have all the information.2011-05-19 22:43:00
