Nina 'Stitch-Some-More' My Baby Just Cares . . . (Recorded Vocal Synch Showcase)

Archive: 10 posts

This level is a little project I've been working on, which shows how you can synch recorded vocals with the music Sequencer. In the spirit of community sharing and all, the chip I use is available as a prize. (Yes folks, that's me singing. . .)

EDIT: F4F removed, I'm running out of time to return the favour! Anyone who's already left feedback, and I haven't reviewed, I promise I'm on my way to do so very soon!

Very impressive. Loved the song and the cutscenes that accompanied it.
Loved the pianist the most

It shows that you've put alot of effort into it so it gets a Heart and a YAY from me

If you get time it'd be good to get some feedback on my level (Details in Sig)

Good old song, affected by the atmosphere, nice singing! Synchronization of voice with music and movement was excellent. At times forgot that I actually watching at LBP. You showed another aspect of using LBP. Touched by the presentation, hearted and yayed.

If you have 5 minutes, please play my versus level Mad house (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=56662-Mad-House) LBP.me (http://lbp.me/v/z4bz-y)

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Nina Simone at all, but I thought your voice was beautiful! The sackbot acting and coordination was very well done, and the backdrop coupled with the lighting gave a nice sense of atmosphere! I also thought the pianist was funny to watch. Great job!

If you have the time, can you play through and leave feedback on any one of my levels in my signature?

Hey rialrees, just realized that you played Emeria earlier and reviewed it. Thanks for the feedback.

This was a very impressive and unique level. The band and stage were well crafted and well animated, as well as the characters and environments. Great job on the level and great job singing.

Thanks both, Qrii I promise I'll do my best to play your level and leave you some feedback today, seeing as you posted before I removed the F4F. Things have gone a bit crazy around here lol!

I love the reaction my pianist is getting from everyone. One of my favourite comments on the level simply reads: "LOLZ! PIANO MAN!" - Sums up the effect I intended for him perfectly lol.

Just saw this through spotlight. Excellent work rialrees! The syncing is perfect (will check out the chip when I get chance), and you've done a great job with the music too. As if that wasn't enough, you've rolled it all into a classy, humourous vid, with excellent attention to detail. And good voice too. What microphone are you using? Standard headset? I wonder if a good microphone connected to a SingStar adaptor would work well for vocals, or maybe the audio compression means it'll always be crackly and rough?

I couldn't get voice syncing working with my LBP song and it really suffers as a result. I'd really appreciate you checking it out (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=57598-Music-movie-Britain-s-Got-Talent-entry-(YouTube-vid-included)). There's a YouTube vid, so you don't need to queue it or nuffink.

Many thanks both!

Geezer - the mic I used was in fat a Singstar mic, with a thin cloth over the top as a makeshift pop shield. Audio compression will always make the audio suffer a little, unfortunately, but with some practice you can adjust the tone of your voice to reduce that. (It took a LOT of attempts though lol!)

Off to check out your vid and see what I can offer right now
