Tera Cota IIVelcroJonze .... Sackboy continues his descent into the corrugated craziness that is Tera Cota. Hello everyone!! This is a level I started back in August of 2010, I got bored with it, and put it on the shelf. Something made me want to go back to it last month, and I put the finishing touches on it a little over a week ago. If you liked the first Tera Cota give this one a try. I will do feedback for feedback for everyone. If you find any problems please tell me, and I hope you enjoy my new level. Thanks!! http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/PSP%20Spotlight%2060/IMG_4193.jpg Thanks to Valmassoi for the picture! | 2011-05-17 22:53:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |

Wow what can I say? Great level here man. First off, I loved the entire level. Thanks to your levels, I've grown to like bubble-hunting and now have the top score (even though there's only 3 others) The part with the spinning wheels and the spikes inside blew my mind and I thought it made a really cool effect. The only two possible issues I see are: At the very beginning, there's a little lag with two of the launchers. Also, and this may only be me, but I found the part in the beginning where you jump from launcher to launcher and go up to the top left to be confusing about where to go next initially. Maybe making the camera angle a wee bit more obvious if at all possible but otherwise great job all around here! (I didn't want to take away from the level by others reading those two minor details and thinking it's a bad level, because it's one of the best ones out there!) The color scheme was fantastic and blended nicely together. I'm personally not a fan of that tan striped cardboard you used for the background, but it fit really nicely with the other materials. On top of that, the launchers were a nice touch. I know you've had them in your past levels, but in this one I noticed how you covered them up after the player was launched through so that they couldn't escape the level by being sneaky, then again, maybe this was in your last levels too you sneaky devil you. All in all, the level turned out beautiful and I truly hope you continue to find creating on PSP enjoyable as you have a real gift and I mean that. ~<3~ and ~:star::star::star::star::star:~ | 2011-05-18 00:18:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Hahaha!! Thank you Woodbury!! Sorry about the lag bro, it's just at the beginning, and I worked and worked to get rid of that. My problem is I always have a huge opening, with wide camera angles and that's where my lag always hits, at the beginning. Once you get to the second section it tapers off. I use creature brains to kill off my levels one section at a time. By the time you get to the last half it runs smooth as glass, I just wish I could get rid of that little bit at the beginning. Thanks for your in dept review bro!! I really appreciate the heart too!! Hey, if you still want me to beta test that new level of your, shoot me a PM, I would be happy to do that now that the psn is back up. Thanks again bro!! | 2011-05-18 00:48:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |

I barely even noticed the lag but I figured I'd mention it in case you didn't know. As for my level, I think I'm just going to publish it without a beta because I'm too lazy to set it up right now I think it's ready. | 2011-05-18 01:01:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Cool beans dude!! I hope to play it soon. I owe you some feedback! | 2011-05-18 01:23:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |
I can't give feedback right now, but... This is one of the best levels ever. If cambridge were to update the featured levels page, this would be at the top. Oh, and if they would update the featured creators, I'd expect to see you there no matter what. | 2011-05-18 03:35:00 Author: ConverseFox Posts: 2333 |
Wow!! Thanks so much Cory! That's so awesome that you think that. I am glad you like the new level, and you don't have to leave feedback, saying that is feedback enough, coming from the Guru of the Glitch! Thanks again bro!! | 2011-05-18 04:18:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |

Wooo I finally got my psn account online! I played this level first, and I'm glad I did. I had a lot of fun with this level it was fast paced and had a great pallette. The platforming is top notch and fun. A couple of times the speed was broken up, which I found a little disappointing. I don't know why, but I expected it to be non-stop launching and platforming. I really enjoy searching for the hidden bubbles and got a pretty good score (#1). Though I hope in future levels you can make some of them harder to find. I'm not trying to be harsh, and I hope I didn't seem that way. You are one of the greats and I really love your levels. This was a great level to jump back into lbp, thank you. :star::star::star::star::star:<3 | 2011-05-18 19:49:00 Author: Captain Rule Posts: 360 |

Adding to my queue... O wait.. :/ I'll play this tonight Or you can use the PSP's really neat feature that's better than queuing and download the level to play it offline later! Bite me. /sarcasm | 2011-05-19 02:27:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
@ Captain - Thanks for playing my new level and giving me honest feedback. I don't think you were harsh at all. Feedback like that is what I need to keep improving. Thanks bro!! I am so looking forward to playing something new from you. I owe you some feedback. | 2011-05-19 02:59:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |
Ohh man, I really want to play it, but unfortunately PSN but I'm still being unable to connect to PSN here in Mexico. Take for sure that it'll be the first thing I'll do as soon as PSN returns. | 2011-05-19 06:05:00 Author: rOckalOvEer x73 Posts: 112 |
Hai I'm back with the feedback. In one word omega! I liked to play it from the beginning to the end. The visuals were are outstanding. I also think that the spiked wheels are very smart. But the secret spots were the best. I mean, getting catapulted into the roof to find more bubbles ... how awesome is that ? A truly deserved 5:star: and <3 from Nys. If youre still doing F4F then I'd like some feedback on The Tree Of Life. | 2011-05-19 15:18:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
I will try and give this a play just as soon as I can get back onto the community moon. I have tried connect to the playstation network with my psp and with two different PCs but I always get the Sony maintenance message and to try again later. I live in Scotland. Has Sony forsaken me? Adding to my queue... O wait.. :/ I'll play this tonight That joke was only funny the 6 trillionth time. Okay, regarding the feedback VJ The Great: I've got the level downloaded, just need to pry myself away from my PSP when I'm done, and give you feedback. | 2011-05-20 04:47:00 Author: The-Questor Posts: 1328 |
Okay, played it. Here we go. Visuals I came in this level thinking I knew what to expect visually, but you used some materials I didn't expect. To very good effect, I might add. You have a very good sense of what materials complement each other. Gameplay Lots of stuff to find, lots of bubble combos, lots of great platforming. Switches, switches, and more switches. WHEEEEEE! This is everything I've come to expect from a VelcroJonze level, and I thank you for making it, since I've played all your other levels... well, a lot. Stuff I Like I love the way you reward people for exploring by sticking things in out-of-the-way places. Really. Stuff That Can Die In A Fire D'you know, this is probably the first level I've played of yours that didn't kill me in the weirdest ways? (Both your Timber Canyon levels have killed me on the scoreboard, for example.) So really, there's nothing here that made me want to tear my hair out or hunt you down. Kudos! Sound You never seem to use too much or too little sound in your levels. Seriously, what's up with that? Are you a film major or something? Overall Five Stars, Heart, belated Creator Heart. Way to go. F4F: Wizard's Spire is very close to ready, so if you could keep an eye on the forums (and the Community Moon) for it, and give me feedback on that one instead of the two I already have out, that'd be super. | 2011-05-21 13:50:00 Author: BlackWolfe Posts: 299 |

Wait, wait TC stands for Tera Cota or Timber Canyon ? Oops, forgot Tera Cota is TC too. I meant Timber Canyon. I assume he got killed by the collapsing bridge in part one, and smashed by by the launch ball thing in part two, both of which happened to be on the scoreboard. I actually have heard this a couple times from different people. I wish we could edit levels without resetting plays and hearts. | 2011-05-22 19:11:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |
Well VJ, thank goodness you decided to finish this level. I hadnt play tera 1, so I downloaded that too and played that one first, great level. The second tera is just as brilliant. Love your style of levels mate. It looked basic, but brilliant, if ya get me! Loved the part where the sides all moved after each other and revealed the ramp type platforms, looked great mate. Old Sackboy gets a bit of a pace on in parts, thought I was playing a Sonic game. All in all mate a great level as ever from a creator people can trust to deliver the goods. Top draw pal! My last level was Reds Dead, Detention if ya wanna leave some FB on that pal, no worries if not as it's been out a while, there's a thread somewhere. | 2011-05-22 20:11:00 Author: JetArtois Posts: 232 |

Ah, reliving a legends work. It's simply amazing how Tera Cota I & II don't have a single magic mouth, yet they both correlate. I felt the exact same way when playing Tera Cota; I could feel the magnifcent simplicity of a sublime platforming level, embedded with logic, that's masqueraded by outstanding sceneric detail that always leaves me baffled. You are true genius! I yearn to create like you! In actual style, now: The Bads... Move along, nothing to see here. The Goods Avant Garde Gameplay -It must be the Jonze tradition to offer gameplay that runs a subtle as this The Unadorned Scenery As always, you have allocated your reliance away from the ever so trivial stickering, so your advanced corner editing will recieve the full recognition it deserves Your Distinct Style Ever since I played any of your levels, I've always adored your style of levels, Tera Cota II showcases the exact style I fell in love with The What I made a face with THE sticker in your level | 2011-05-23 02:24:00 Author: The-Questor Posts: 1328 |

Thanks for the nice words buddy!! I love your review style btw! Ever since 12 doc, I have kept an eye on you, and you have become one of my favorite new creators over the last few months. Your latest level Heart-Break Haven is one of the most unique levels I have played all year. Feedback coming up!! Thanks again you guy's!! Once again, great work on another fantastic platformer! Somehow you manage to keep everything feeling new and fresh no matter how many levels you make. Every level I play by you I notice at least one or two improvements in each aspect of the level. You've become one of the most visually impressive creators out there, along with the gameplay. These are classic platformers at their best, and this is one of my favorite levels out both systems, PS3 and PSP. I remember playing the first Tera Cota and despite many little complaints about the length of the level, it was still one of my favorites. It's great to see a second one come in with so much improvement. Hope you keep creating until all 20 spots are filled up! Can't wait to see what's next. Maybe something on the PS3? Five stars and a heart. Good work! Indeed it was a well deserved spotlight. | 2011-06-06 14:50:00 Author: eagerneph Posts: 1536 |
Sorry for the late feedback, i have been playing modnation racers psp. Tera Cota II was really good and challenging. You always come up with new types of platforming in your levels what i have never seen before in LBP. You must be the "PLATFORM KING"! I also played Timber Run, It was fantastic! Your levels are always good, fun and hard(I like hard levels).I gave them both :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 . Thank you for many really outstanding levels. | 2011-06-14 13:32:00 Author: himoks Posts: 734 |
Simply astonishing. Things I liked: The spinning columns with spikes on the ends and flat parts at the bottom. Bubble Combos Generally good platforming Things I didn't like: The switch after you activate the bombs. It wasn't obvious that 1) it raised a new platform and 2) you could run in a direction to move it. The background Overall, great level. Really enjoyed. Five big stars! | 2011-06-15 00:36:00 Author: Fading-Dream Posts: 164 |
