how illegal are blue indicators on motorbike

i have just modded my motorbike to have blue LED indicators , i know its illegal but how illegal ? my mate said to me i can get done for imitating a police vehicle , i didnt think it would be that bad but it could land me a fine which i dont want :/

EDIT: Just read that they are illegal on this forum (http://www.pitbikeclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=50076). You will get pulled.

You'd likely get stopped and told to replace them with amber indicators within a certain timeframe. Unless you were otherwise being naughty I doubt you'd get fined, though.

I'm kinda curious to know if it would pass an MOT with blue indicators.

well for ?3.50 from the market i think there pretty good lol but i can see me getting into trouble , there not for good just for a faze

@ Ayneh its under 3 years so dont need a MOT just yet but it wouldn't pass an MOT with these

I think they're intended for off-road use only. Did it not state so on the packaging?
