After month of not making anything i finally got my butt up and made a level for the vehicle i've been working on since the beta. Was about time, dood!

In the versus level "Kikaikyu:Rotototo" you take control of the wheel-like vehicle called "Rotatinator"(name originates from it's power source - bad Terminator quotes). The concept for the vehicle comes from a game i made up some years ago. Was a bit more complex there but managed to implement the core gameplay in the Lbp2 beta.

The main difference(and difficulty) is that the vehicle isn't steered directly. You can only manipulate it's spin. On the ground this still feels rather normal but as soon as you start driving on a wall or the ceiling the controls feel partly inverted which is alienating at first. The controls could have been counter inverted on ceilings but that would have lead to even more confusion and some annoying unpredictabilities.
So basically you can spin let or right with the left Stick and jump from surfaces with X. The angle of the jump depends on the orientation of the surface your vehicle touches. In chase you get stuck hold down O will self destruct you vehicle and you spawn new.

I managed to pack 4 different game modes into this one level to showcase the different possible uses of the Vehicle. The order of the game modes is intended to be of rising difficulty
The first game mode players should try is "Race". Guess the name is self explanatory. The race track spans over the whole arena to introduce the player to all the different aspects of the vehicle. The first to finish the third round wins the match.
The second game mode is "Graffiti". Can be compared to to the Tony Hawk's Underground game mode "Graffiti"(or whatever name it has - not 100% sure about the name) in which you got to skate on map elements to "tag" them. Similar to that you got to touch specific surfaces to give them your colour. Every few seconds you get point for every track element in your colour. For practical reasons players should pick colours that are easily distinguishable. Or maybe play with everyone having the same colour? Maybe some stealth fetishist likes that?
Third up is "Ninja". This game mode is somewhat like a game of tag or... fight for the crown? Basically the players try to take control over the "Shuriken". It's a small rotating object that follows you around and gives you points for every second it is in your possession. If someone already got the Shuriken you can steal it from them by ramming them. After you acquired the Shuriken you get a little save time in which it can't be stolen from you again.
Last game mode is "Survival". For those of you who remember it it's a bit like the scrolling-tunnel-jetpack-survival-level-thingy from the LBP1 story. You get tossed into a pipe and the walls start moving. Stay away from the evil red plasma stuff to survive the longest and win the match.

Hope you enjoy the level. For those of you who like the vehicle and would like to use it for a level, the vehicle is given as a price at the scoreboard. I left some notes in there for easier understandment so feel free to modify, use it in your level or redistribute.

...I'll be back.
