induvidual player emitter?

ok so as some of you are aware im making a new level in which u (must) control a sackbot.
Due to this the player must be in the controlinator seat. This means that i am triggering emmiters with player sensors which are needed for this level to work. All is well however i now wish to make this multiplayer and i need to only trigger certain emitters for certain players eg; player 1 emits sackbot1 and player2 emits sackbot2 and so on. now i know that you can set the player sensor to player colour but does this mean it will trigger it for a specific player? im not sure it does but does anyone know anyway i can do this?

Set to player color I thought is just for looks, lol so I never touched it. But should be simple, just use tag sensors to trigger the emmitters on either your controllinator, if its fallowing the sackbots, or the sackbots themselves.2011-05-16 21:23:00

If I understand the setup you have (like that Eve's Asylum multiplayer level, right?) then this should do the job. You'll want to, for each player:

1) Set up a transmitter controlinator for the player's sackperson to enter.

2) Hook up the output of this controlinator to your first emitters which will spawn the first sackbots.

3) On the sackbot's microchip you want the corresponding receiving controlinator and a tag labelled "Player 1" for example.

4) Place tag sensors where you want the player to get their sackbots for them to clear the stage with matching "Player 1" tag and colour.

5) Hook up the output of the transmitting controlinator to the first port of an AND gate, with the tag sensors hooked up to the remaining ports. Have the AND gate's output connected to your second emitters to spawn the second set of sackbots on the second stage.

6) Rinse and repeat for however many stages you have.

I have worked out a system with four player sensors hooked to emitters for 1-4 players, each with unique DCS objects for each player. The player sensors are set to require 1 for the first emitter, 2 players required for the second emitter and so on. Let me know if it works for your set up.2011-05-17 22:02:00
