Ice-Hocky world championship complete!

Ice-Hocky world championship is complete! The finals were between Finland and Sweden and Finland took the victory here. A crushing victory, should I say, since Finland beat Sweden 6-1. I'm not a big hockey fan, but when something like this happens I'll be posting it in every forum I'm in, which would be a grand total of 1. Disguss. I thought about making this thread but then thought that no one would really care... WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I watched the full game yesterday, that last period was just amazing When Finland made their 1-3 goal I really started to believe that we are going to win... Finland just went crazy, Helsinki was full of partying people in the middle of the night, people running around in their underwear and swimming in the fountains. Today the team is coming back to Finland and meet the people in Helsinki. I'll be there | 2011-05-16 14:55:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |
I am a hockey fan, but didn't follow the world cup because Britain suck. Kings rule though. But HOLY ****, Granlunds goal against Russia. My mind was blown. | 2011-05-16 17:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
I watched the game, I just got one thing to say: Sweden, I'm disappointed in you. | 2011-05-16 17:35:00 Author: Alec Posts: 3871 |
I just came back from Helsinki... that was CRAZY! The place was filled with people and flags. According to a Finnish news site there were over 100000 people there... The feeling was just amazing, the crowd just went crazy every time there was a video of one of the goals on the screens... and after a really long wait the team finally arrived. That was just unbelievable, everyone was singing and screaming, half of the people were drunk (even though it is Monday) and the party never seemed to end. I tried to take some photos but I think it's best to show these that I borrowed from various Finnish news sites This is from yesterday, I kinda wish I had been there http://i51.tinypic.com/2lbjlzr.jpg These are from today http://i55.tinypic.com/2r7aaeo.jpg http://i51.tinypic.com/24d0ufq.jpg DEN GLIDER IN! DEN GLIDER IN! DEN GLIDER IN I M?L IGEN! VI SKA K?MPA, VI SKA GE ALLT DET VI HAR... VI SKA TA GULD IGEN! That's the lyrics to Sweden's "victory song" from 1995 when Finland won for the first time... it has been Finland's victory song ever since | 2011-05-16 20:48:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |
