you spawn and trigger the player sensor, then the player sensor triggers the sequencer which shows two camera angles high above you then for the rest it shows an area and zooms and what not when neccesary, and the magic mouths speak and explain, the subtitles, work 100% in create but not in play mode. one thing that might help is that i have all my angles with the movie camera and there is no cutscene camera for the subtitles. but that shouldn't matter and i tried without it and just the cutscene camera built into the magic mouth and it still wont work. this is important as its the last thing i need to do so a speedy response would be usefull thanks!

Have you got subtitles in your own game preferences turned to off? That's a common reason why they might not be showing up outside of create.

How are your subtitles being triggered? Is it on a sequencer?

As Xaif said, press start, go in settings and make sure that subtitles are enabled.

maybe you triggered them in create and forgot to reset them before going into play mode? i always do this sorta silly stuff so now i make it a rule that i check all my sequencer logic and perma switches before changing to play mode.
