LBP2 has a lot of good music and some.... questionable tracks. Overall I like it. Portal 2 has some really good atmospheric tracks (the one in old aperture springs to mind), and of course the ending song, which I won't spoil for anyone. But, my favourite OST would be the Final Fantasy VII one, even though it's old. Portal 2 does have dynamic music as well as players fiddling around with the IntMusic tracks. I think the receivers for your lasers/Thermal Discouragement Beams make music sometimes when activated along with standing near or going onto an Aerial Faith Plate. Again, both games tend to mostly have no lyrics in their songs.

[Guilty]: THe turret song at the end of Portal 2 almost made me cry. Absolutely fantastic ending to a great game.[Guilty/] Anyway, Portal and LBP2's Sound style is pretty similar. Although Portal's music has more of a mechanical tone to it. I like Portal/Portal 2's soundtrack better than LBP/LBP2's, but thats just my opinon.

LBP2's soundtrack is customizable by the user (INT music (music sequencer is a plus even though not part of the soundtrack)) while Portal 2's soundtrack is dynamic. I wish that you could use songs in levels in LBP2 (premade or custom) and have them be dynamic (adding in smaller sequenced pieces of music using switches).

Anyway, Portal and LBP2's Sound style is pretty similar. What? LBP2 uses a mishmash of entirely separate songs ranging from a riff on Thus Spake Zarathustra to more modern electronic stuff by Royskopp and Ferry Corsten. Portal 2 has a single score written for the entire game, almost entirely electronic (one could argue orchestral electronic) except for the operatic excerpt at the very end. They are nothing alike. I am honestly befuddled as to how you could say they were.

Well, I mean the Int. Music in LBP2 can be similar to the portal 2 soundtrack tone wise. Portals music varies from upbeat to low and slow sounding.

In the same sense that the soundtrack to The Crow can be similar to the soundtrack for The Wedding Singer, maybe. As in... not in any way that is actually meaningful.

Its hard to compare the soundtracks to the portal series and Lbp because there both so different But i will admite that the music in portal 2 really made the game seem more dramatic and really matched the whole point of the game (Plus who could hate the ending! FAT TURRET RULES!!!)

I've seen quite a bit of talk about Portal 2's soundtrack sounding like other songs. Besides, does it matter when you can combine? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7D_Dt-nvlw&feature=related) Comparing LBP2's and Portals 2's soundtrack is pretty difficult. Whereas Portal 2 is nearly all electronic based, LBP2 is a big mix. Can't really compare. But, I do think that Portal 2 has one of the best soundtracks ever made for any media form.
