Comphermc and Lockstitch would like to proudly announce the
“LBPCommunity Meet 2011.”

Location:

The community meet will take place at the DoubleTree Westport Hotel in St. Louis Missouri on the 29-31st of July, 2011.

Event:

The meet will feature an opening banquette meeting and then gaming and socializing for the entire weekend. A weekend-long contest will be presented as well as other LBP challenges and entertainment. Furthermore, Media Molecule’s James Spafford (Lovingly know as Spaff) has stated his intention to attend and support the meet.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_yIEK1lDrzR0/TchXBPX6GQI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/GHQR4jIt2DQ/s800/room.jpg
Information:

The event will be primarily held in two suites of the aforementioned hotel, with the introduction taking place in the banquette hall. The opening meet for the weekend will likely begin Friday night around six. The event will end Sunday around noon. Exact times are subject to change.

The event will be financed by myself and other generous donors who wish to make this weekend a great success. Therefore, any travel and lodging accommodations (if you wish to book a room) will be your responsibility. Dinner will be provided each evening, but snacks and other meals will not. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast.

Also, due to the fact that we wish to have ample LBP stations available we will have to ask that members bring their own PS3 and TV if possible. We’re hoping to have at least one station for every two participants. It would also make sense to bring your copy of LBP2.

Lodging Information:

The meet will take place at the DoubleTree Westport Hotel. This hotel is located about 6 minutes away from the St. Louis Lambert Airport and has a free shuttle service. We have booked a block of rooms specifically for this event. We have a group rate of $89.00 a night for Double Queen Bedrooms. To book a room call 866-786-8088 and make sure to mention that you are with “LBPCommunity Meet 2011” to receive the quoted price. Reservations must be made before July 8th to get the group rate. Rooms cannot be canceled after July 28th. If you would like, visit Doubletree Westport (http://doubletree1.hilton.com/en_US/dt/hotel/STLWPDT-DoubleTree-by-Hilton-Hotel-St-Louis-Westport-Missouri/index.do) to check out the grounds.

Rules and Regulations:

Any minor (under 18 years) attending the event must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

No alcohol may be brought into the official event rooms. If you need to relax with a cold one(or more), it must be done in your private room or at the hotel bar.

Attendees staying at the hotel must book their own rooms. Crashing in the event suites will not be acceptable.

RSVP:

We do need to get a good idea of those members that will be attending. To RSVP Please send an RSVP message to LBPCommunity2011@gmail.com. In this message please state your PSN, first and last name, age, home town and T-shirt size. A confirmation E-mail will be sent back to confirm reception. An RSVP is not necessary to attend, although you may forfeit some aspects of the meet by not doing so.

Checklist of supplies:

Think about bringing these items when preparing for the weekend:

PS3
TV (HD preferred, don't bring your 60" monster, 30-40" is plenty... we'll all be at close range anyways)
Power strip, surge-protected
HD and/or audio/video cables
Internet hub/switches/hard and wireless routers.
Cameras/camcorders to record for posterity
Beverages/Energy Drinks/Food/snacks to share
Personal Hygiene Products (deodorant is required, gentleman)
Seating (bean-bag chairs, comfy fold-up chairs, etc.)
A positive attitude
Things to do other than LBP2 (board games, cards, iPod w/ dock, movies, things to inspire creation, etc.)

rsvp means to declare your intent to attend an event or not.

TV's are not required, we just need people who can to help out!

rsvp means to declare your intent to attend an event or not.

Yep, it comes from the French RSVP expression, R?pondez S'il Vous Pla?t, which means “answer back please” or something like that! Learn guys

On topic, well, all this seems pretty well put together! You both are making a great job. I really like the suites..!

I was wondering, isn't the hotel afraid to let dozens of young "ecxited" guys (and gals) invade the place? lol
Are they asking for a check deposit in case something is broke or damaged in the suites ?...
Not saying the LBPers dont know how to behave correctly, but it could happen accidentaly in those kind of meeting...

Unfortunately I will not be able to go due to other things planned.

I wish you the best of luck, and I hope many come to the LBPCommunity Fan Meet, for you guys to feel success, and to possibly have a 2012 fan meet that will even surpass this ones success.

Not in a million years would I be responsible enough to organize this, and for that I give you props

I'd like to ask something, what degree of accompanied are we looking at here for us minors? Because it would be very helpful to me if my adult could drop me off after verifying that they would indeed be there in case of an emergency. Is city area good enough? Is hotel enough? Or is it "directly there at the event"?

FYI, one of my main motivating reasons here is that my mom can see the city.

First-off I'd just like to say thanks a million Comph and Lock! In a relative short time... a great idea has really taken root. As an East-coaster, (specifically New Jersey), I've now looked into all the obvious travel options (rail, bus, plane, car) and If I am to attend, it would seem the car makes the most sense. It's a 16 hour drive, about one thousand miles. At about four dollars a gallon i think I'm looking at 280.00 for the travel... minus tolls. While I currently am not in a position where I can commit-- this is atleast a figure I can rationalize. Made even more attractive If any adults were interested in sharing the ride. Money, the like of loud music, and wind in your hair are pre-requisites. Interested gadders can PM me. I'd feel comfortable transporting two others... That's round trip for $100. bucks! That's some serious food for thought... Ticket price does not include stereo privledges

Perhaps i can subsidize my trip by beginning construction on a Compher-pinata! 2 Bucks-a-Slug! Three for 5 dollars!

Not that there's a world outside LBP/PS3... But the Cardinals are at home that weekend vs. the Cubs... additional incentive for some... much like the hotels' in-door pool and glassed-in patio. *Oh the 'Opulence!*

Also on Sunday July 31 @7:30pm there's a free Orchestral Concert presented as part of the 2011 Gateway Festival. Programe is called West by Northwest the following selections are scheduled...

Mozart- Abduction from the Seraglio Ov.
Bartok- Rumanian Folk Dances
Brahms- Hungarian Dances No. 1, 4, and 5
Joh. Strauss- Viennese Waltz, Blue Danube
Dvorak- Sym. No. 8

And of course there's a zoo and several free museums as well to round-out your cloistered cultured weekend.

im in...as soon as i get a comp my rsvp will be sent and my travel arrangements made. so as i stated in the last thread if any body wants to share a room PM me. 89.00 /night 267 total split between a few. would be reasonable. if im not mistaken there will be 2 queens in the rooms...plus i dont mind the floor. that is of course if anybody even gets sleep.

1 more thing if am going to help setup when should i arrive & if im going to help breakdown and clean when would i depart?

This sounds like a very interesting little event we have being planned.

If I DID go, I'd have to drive across Illinois - which I don't mind doing, since I've had to endure two-hour trips every weekend when I was going to school.

Anybody in the mid-Illinois area need a lift? I'm less insane in person, I promise. :B

I'd definitely join in if not for the fact that I live in Finland and my plane ticket alone would be too expensive for me.

Come the day when teleportation is invented!

I'd think that parents dropping you off should be fine. I will be your chaperone.

I am having difficulty finding the right metaphor here. Is it:

a) setting the fox to guard the chickens
or
b) letting the inmates run the asylum?

I'd love, LOVE to come. Not sure if I can yet (bit of a trek from the Great White North), but the chance to meet comph? Woo!

I cant go for countless resons. I feel that your excluding a lot of people that cant come. I DO know that its not your failt that people dont have the money.
Can people that are not there take part in any challenges, or just the people there to play online? If you do that, you can always have priority to the people there so no one gets left out. I realy want to just do something to take part.

Also, are you thinking about keeping it in ST. Louis? Or will it move aroud?

I am going to publish the level I make for a high score contest, but not until the local competition has concluded. And it will definitely be in St. Louis, at the hotel indicated in the first post.

Well I was wanting to keep the competition in house. However we were thinking of doing the voting for the winning entry online where users anywhere could vote on the creations made at the meet.

Well on the topic of the location moving year to year: to make this happen you'd need a willing host member... Plus you need a somewhat central location. It doesn't have to be in st Louis but it wouldn't make sense to have it somewhere like Miami for example. Also I generally wouldn't like to see it necessarily change countries... Ideally there would be a united states meet and a Europe meet every year.

But hey, let's just see how this one works out first eh?

And a thread for coordinating roomsharing here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=56540-LBPCommunity-Meet-roomshare).

To keep this thread a little less cluttered.

Lovely! Another event i'd love to join, in a place and time that makes it kinda impossible. I wish i could take this game more seriously and i WİLL once im done with school... Schools around here take about 8 hours yet you still have at least an hour of homework. What you do once you're done? Do more homework ofcourse! Gaming? Hah! You're wasting precious time on creative and entertaining activities while you should have been spending it on memorising unneccesarily detailed information.

Enough Ranting. . .

I hope everybody who attends have a good time

I decided to go ahead and make a little group for this meet: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/group.php?groupid=933

If the meet hosts wish to take control of it, I'd be happy to transfer control over.

As for games I intend to bring I'll mention just 3 for the moment:

-LBP2 (duh)
-Portal 2 (I figured a bit of cooperation and cooperative failure are needed at the event)
-ModNation Racers (maybe if we have enough copies we can have a racing tournament).

I'll be providing a station at the event (PS3, HDTV (small one), seats, etc.), in case anyone was wandering. However, I only have 2 controllers, so if anyone wants to do 4 player, you'll need your own controller.

Just I case anyone was thinking of doing so, any accounts of the following will be frowned upon:

Harassment
Hostage situations
Genocide
Stealing of hardware
Stealing of food
General violent behavior
Kidnapping spaff and locking him in a cupboard
Punching comphermc more than three times
Taking drugs or alcohol
Peeing on the carpet

Have fun

I will need some more clarity on this please. More than three times over the entire weekend? More than three times per person? Details matter.

Kidnapping spaff and locking him in a cupboard

What about locking him in a bathroom? A suitcase? Does he fold easily for storage in overhead compartments?

Taking drugs or alcohol

While we can't stop you from bringing those, the intention is to have a get together for hardcore LBP creators/players, and thus would prefer that the focus of the event is on LittleBigPlanet. We'd like to have enough things planned to keep you busy. It's the one thing that brings everyone together, so it would only make sense that our focus is as such.

I REALLY wish I could go. But...

*Checks Google Maps*

It's a 14 hour drive, and my dad wouldn't want to waste gas.

And it's a 10-day walk (and ferry ride), which I probably wouldn't be allowed to do. So unless someone wants to pay for my way there, I can't go.

My hope is that someday there will be a meetup in Toronto or somewhere closer to me. Anyone know how to book an igloo for an event?

Anyway, hope everyone has fun. Don't kidnap Spaff, etc.

Lock, was it asked if the hotel can help us out with TVs? If need be by moving them from our rooms? It might be easier to encourage them to oblige us before the contract is signed. Also, is Internet use free there? If not, perhaps they would be willing to waive the fee for our group (often $10/night)?2011-05-14 06:21:00

Sweet, but I'm not going, cuz I pretty much 15 and under 18. BTW I never been America before and I think it hard for me to get from UK.

EDIT: Also I think my Mum say she cannot afford it, so I might have to ask her and see what she says. Diddn't know you go under 18 with Mum or Dad, so that pretty sweet. Any teens going? I say it gonna be epic have a whole room into LBP crib

So do you get your very own room?

2nd EDIT: Nah, ima not come. Would be good if I come, but my mother been to Turkey and she may not have enough money to get to America. -.-

Hmm, Saint Louis is only 3 hours away from where I live. It would be awesome if I could come and meet y'all, but then then there's the fact that I'm only thirteen and my parents simply dropping me off in Saint Louis for a couple of days alone prolly wouldn't fly with them. Maybe if we're there for another reason, I could hang out with y'all for a day or so. II'd feel so stupid not coming at all 'cause of how close I am! D=2011-05-14 15:13:00

15 Hour drive.

Nah, that aint happening. I'm not into, nor well known enough in the LBPverse for that.

I'll wait until one year it's closer or something...

(Unless someone is crazy enough to fly me from Canada or such. O.o)

Very nice work organizing this though!

Holy guacamole! I half jokingly said to my wife "we should go to St. Louis this July for an LBP event", and she said "cool, let's go!" I was shocked! So now I need to look into plane tickets to see if I can afford it.

Also... since I would be flying there, bringing my TV is out of the question. Should I still bring as much of the other stuff as I can? (PS3, LBP2, power strip etc..) Would it be anti-social to set up a PS3 in my room where adult beverages could be enjoyed? It could also serve as a sanctuary for comphermc with all this talk of nose punching (I would never punch his nose, I merely wish to kick him in the shin)

Yes, please. I think we'll likely have something more informative later about what to bring, but it's always better to have too much than too little. I think with the number of people unable to bring their electronics, we can take all of the help we can get. I should be able to bring two televisions, and I hope some other people can do the same.

Heh, I don't drink, but I'll take a kick to the shin over several face-beatings!

Yeah, I'd say bring as much as you can. We will likely do a co-create competition I'm thinking...as we cannot expect to get a TV per person. But if for some reason you wanted your own TV you could retreat to your room. And yeah, I'd love to do some smaller hangouts through the weekend, not everything has to stay in the community room, but that is where the main action will be.

Edit: Heh, comph beat me to it. Don't worry everyone, I'll drink comph's share of the beer...

... we could try and hold something LBPC-ish at/around Comic-Con this year. I'm sure some of the other members around here will be going to that. That way, they wouldn't have to fret about heading over to the official one in St. Louis.

Just a heads up to guys who say their planning one for next year. I'd suggest you wait on that for now. See how this all goes first....

Then I'd say we should as a community decide a new good city to hold it in. I picked st.louis b/c I live here, but also b/c its a good location... it needs to be somewhat centralized location. I thought the host would need to live in the host city initially, but now it's obvious that that isn't necessary...

Also if this is going to become a regular thing, we will need to get somekind of general leadership behind it, as I can see multiple people claiming they will hold one, in order to make it a location near them.

Just my thoughts for anyone antsy about getting one planned for 2012...

(For obvious reasons) I think Toronto would be an excellent choice for next year: it's fairly central, air and land travel are easy, it's an awesome city, and it avoids the concerns of having a 2012 meetup in the USA again. But agreed that we should wait until after this one before setting plans in motion.2011-05-14 21:15:00

I completely agree with this. I think since Lock is the one putting on the first, it would only be right for him to have a say about the next. Whether he takes the reigns, or passes the torch. If it's to become an annual event it needs to have some stability. If everyone and their brother wants to host the event we'll end up with a bunch of em and they'll be all over the place, because everyone want's it to be close to them.

I don't necessarily mean that I need to behind it, but someone does. I know I took a lot of liberties this year in planning this, but that was due to there being no precedence for an event like this. If I'd do it in a future year I would definitely hold community poll for location.

A southern Canadian city does seem like an attractive option though!

My only point is that the event would need some stability. I was thinking maybe you would either host it again, or pass the torch for someone else to host the next year. I just think it would need to have some organization if it becomes an annual event. Just to keep it somewhat official.

If there is a meet in a different country than the U.S., then I would vote for separate meetups in various countries. Most people in the U.S. don't have a passport, and it takes time and money to get one. Not saying going to Canada wouldn't be awesome (Windsor would be nice, seeing as it's less than an hour away, LOL) but it may limit the number of people that can attend, unfortunately.

The best way to organize such things, I've found, is pretty much ad hoc. As someone took control this year, see what happens and see who emerges to take responsibility for next year. (I've already volunteered, as has WESFUN, to organize 2012 in Toronto).

Separate NA/EU meetups make a lot of sense. Probably not a good idea to hold both on the same weekend though; I'm sure a few people have the wherewithal to attend both, plus if someone like Spaff is attending even he can't be in two places at once. I think.

I belong to a group that has meetups like this most years. Generally what we do is have The Big Official Meetup somewhere (past locations have included Toronto, Raleigh, Nashville, Seattle, etc), and the weekend before The Big Official Meetup is a smaller and more unofficial one in another city on roughly the other side of the continent. (E.g. when we had the Toronto meetup, the unofficial one was in Victoria; for Raleigh the smaller one was.. oh crud I can't remember, Minneapolis or something). This allows for people to still meet up if they can't get all the way across the continent, but maintains the distinction between The Official Gathering and 'a bunch of us hanging out together.'

Our usual practice is as follows: people arrive thurs and fri, check in to the hotel. Friday night is a big group dinner in some local restaurant, nothing too fancy. For Saturday the host has usually provided a list of cool (and usually very nerdy) things to do and see around town. We usually bunch into groups and wander off to do things. Saturday evening is always a huge free-for-all potluck insanity at the host's house. Forty to sixty people all cooking and eating and drinking and telling stories until sunrise, usually. Sunday is always a group brunch, then people slowly depart for airports and cars and whatnot.

Taking that as a model, amending it per CompherStitch and their plans, would probably be a good way to move forward. (Except possibly the potluck bit. You could fit more than ten people in my apartment, but only if everyone was very friendly.)

So here's what I'd suggest:

- plans for 2012 on hold until at least a couple weeks after the 2011 LBPCM. Give CompherStitch some time to breathe and relax and have a proper postmortem, figure out what worked and what didn't
- for 2012, work on the presumption that we should have a North America meet and a European one, with two sets of people organizing (but coordinating with each other to avoid overlapping dates, any one-upsmanship, that sort of thing)
- Based on demand, have someone organize a smaller and unofficial meetup elsewhere in NA for people who can't get to the big one (e.g. if the Big One is in Toronto, suggest an unofficial meet somewhere like Dallas or Albequerque or something)

Oh and regarding passports, honestly, it's not like it's tough to get one. They've been required for all travel across borders in NA since what, 2007?

Ironically, Toronto is closer to me than St. Louis, and would probably be much more feasible for me to attend.

Oh and regarding passports, honestly, it's not like it's tough to get one. They've been required for all travel across borders in NA since what, 2007?Not difficult, but it's not free and you have to plan ahead. For people like me, you've got the fees associated with obtaining one ($135 U.S.) and making sure you get it in advance of attendance (4-6 weeks). I'd also have to go and pay for an official copy of my birth certificate (an extra $25) because my original was lost in a move or some other similar circumstance years ago. Not only that, but first time applicants need to apply in person, which adds some more "things to do" to one's list.

TL;DR, it adds additional cost and complications.

With an estimated attendance of 10-30 people, it's not difficult to organize additional meet-ups across large countries (such as U.S. LBPCom 2012 Southwest, Central, Northeast, etc.), or meet-ups in countries where the demand is there (i.e. Canada, U.K., other European countries, etc.)

I definitely want in on this, but I've got a few things to get in order before I can commit. Can't wait to find out what kind of activities the big bosses have planned.

Also, any chance we can get Sony to subsidize the hotel rooms instead of apologizing with a free month of plus?

I'm about 98.5% sure I will be attending. I live in Evansville in Southern Indiana which is only a few hours away. I don't have a television that I could bring but I can certainly bring my PS3, a few controllers and so forth.

I'm new to the community but I've been hanging out in the Little Big Planetorium chat room for about the last week or so. Bag and a few others over there have been very kind and helpful as I've been taking my first steps into becoming a serious map developer. I have game industry experience as well as Flash Development and Game/Web Design skills so I'm truly hoping that I can use my powers for good to bring some of my ideas (some very old, some new) to the Little Big Planet community!

Ya, that'd be really great to get organized. For the first Community Jam we got pins that which Rex drew our PSN name on. It would be awesome if the same could be done for this event.

In the past I've attended similar fan events, particularly Lego events. They often give attendees custom little Lego kits that you can put together and often include a brick with your name engraved on it.

These name tags, while such a simple concept, can be such a unique and special piece of memorabilia.

I feel like some kind of name-tag like this is necessary. We could just do paper "Hello my name is" stickers, but it would make it a lot more special if we could get them custom done.

As much as I would've love to attend and meet all the great creators, I'm sad to have to miss it since me and the family already made commitments during that time. Still, I would like to offer my donation. I'm a little unsure how to go about it since it directed me to an email account and I want to be certain before giving my info from my debit account2011-05-17 07:16:00

Donations can be made through paypal (paypal.com) Its an online payment service. You only give your information to them and then they pay vendors or individuals for you. All accounts at paypal are linked to an email address. Thus, to make donations, set up a paypal account and then send money to the email address. Simple and secure.

Thanks for seeing this through, Lock! The OP still says to hold off booking rooms. I haven't called them yet, but if they are ready, perhaps the OP should be updated.

Edit: I just called them and the reservationist couldn't find the group yet. I'll try tomorrow.

I'm like 98% certain that I will be attending! I currently am living in Evansville, Southern Indiana which is only 3 hours from St. Louis so count me in!

I'm currently going back to Los Angeles again from June 3rd until July 3rd to attend E3 but to also job hunt. The only reason I wouldn't make it to the meet-up would be if I found a new job in Los Angeles and ended up moving back out there. If that ends up happening I'd be able to "cancel" my RSVP early enough if that's not a problem.

That said, I can't wait to attend and meet everyone! I know I'm really new to the community but I've been fairly active talking to the members of LBPlanetarium in their chat room.

Cheers,

Epic Wesley!

Ok, the hotel reservation is now set to go. I just reserved our suite rooms. Remember you must reserve a room before July 8th to get our group price!

Thanks, Lock

Hope you guys that attend have a lot of fun! I would go if this was half a year later (I would be 18 by then), because going with my parents probably won't be that enjoyable. Oh well, have fun and take a ton of pictures and videos!2011-05-21 03:36:00

I'd really like to attend this. I'm only in Ohio, and I have summers off since I'm a teacher. So if I can swing the money for gas and hotel, perhaps I will. And if someone will come look in on the cats for me.2011-05-21 05:14:00

Maybe we should organise a UK meet at some point? I know there are plenty of fellow sack folk over here...

Anyway I wish all the peeps going a great time.

Cheers.

How is this possible, IN MY HOMETOWN!!!??? I am defintely going!!!! It'll be neat to meet you guys in real life.
So yeah, count me in, my parents wont let me bring the family HD TV, but I'll try rigging up my two 480i 7" with some radioshack junk to play together. I'll bring some snacks, my gaming chair, ipod dock (play ps3 sound through it)... this is gonna be a good time...

curse my living in Utah and the fact that I'm 5 years too young to show up alone (I'll let you do the math)

somebody that's showing up, please invite me (PSN: LotsaSouths) so I can join you guys! I will have to talk through text messages though. it's the secret to showing up if you're too far away/your parents wont drive you!

What a great idea, comph and Lockstitch! Thank you for organising it. I could totally afford the rooms and all, just not the airfare

Looks like it'll mostly be guys attending... If I lived closer, I'd be super happy to go along and keep a motherly eye on the proceedings. I'm sure you'll all have a blast and while you're enjoying spare a thought for those of us down in the south of the world who never have any such events held in our jurisdiction.. *sigh*

fml. I live 20 minutes away from Lambert, but I'll be in South Africa visiting my in-laws during the event. I hope everyone has a good time! You should definitely check out the City Museum (if you like tight spaces) and the STL Zoo (if you like free zoos).2011-05-24 23:01:00

No Aussie LBP love? There's got to be at least a dozen of you within driving distance of each other. Problem is, are they here on LBPC? Are there any AU LBP fansites out there?

Lockstitch (And some very generous donors) paid to set the whole thing up.

And as a sidenote, I might not be able to come as planned. There's a big chance I'll have to spend the majority of July in Idaho.

I'm kinda with you on that one. When I first saw this, I thought attendance was going to be overflowing. Apperently not if you think approximately 20 RSVPs is low (which, if you're hoping for 30, it is). It seems most people don't have the money to make it to St. Louis or have families that have no desire to do so.

Well, the Meet's still a month and a half away, so we may still get more attendees, and maybe there are some who don't intend to RSVP before going (though that wouldn't be the best thing to do).

It's the first year around! You can't get disappointed if only 20 people show up because it's the 1st year. If this continues and becomes annual more and more people will learn about and come out. This...to my knowledge has only been advertised on a handful of community sites as well. Word of mouth is the strongest advertisement tool you can use. After this first one it should start spreading like a smooth lava flow coming to wipe out that plague known as comic con2011-06-12 16:43:00

We're looking at flights over there right now! We're behind this 100%, whether or not we can make it! We'll promote it on the show this week and see what kind of response we get! I haven't been able to get with our SCEA contact yet due to the E3 hype, and a vacation this week, but we'll let you know what we hear, cause they've been wanting something like this to happen for awhile now!2011-06-16 17:56:00

If i were to go,... i probably would have to bum off of someone else's system. As, my dad would not appreciate me jacing his system AND his tv, ( a twenty something inch ( i believe ) tube tv. ( not flatscreen either. so it would take up space. Lots of space. ) but i would be able to bring a controller! ( being my fancy neateo pro controller. ) .... oh, and.... who needs something to do other than play lbp2? i could easily entertain myself for 72 hours playing lbp2, ... straight. but,.... sadly, i don't have the money, or a parent willing to go up there for the weekend to do something like that. But it sounds fun, if i'm at my dad's maybe i can join you guys wirelessly? over the internet and all. though, i'd need to have someone who's going as a friend. PLEASE i missed way too much with my laptop broken. It would be nice to catch up with what's happening around the community. ( sorry if i was a bit long winded...... need to take my adhd meds ....)

( Added after reading a few comments i skipped over ) Maybe you should have an online portion to it too, you know, everyone who wants to go, but is either too young, or too far away, or just can't make it, due to some reason. You know, everyone add each other as a friend and each console with lbp2 takes some people on with them. ( remember it's play create SHARE ) and, when everyone is just hanging out, not playing, those people not there can use either the chat functions or, if they have one, a bluetooth headset. Anyone else agree with my idea?

[ and, once again, i'm sorry for my adhd spurred longwindedness. [and for a small bit more. ] i have some ideas for big levels i would like too pass on to more advanced creators, so that they don't end up like so many other ideas i have had...... especially the ones i finished and published only to let the gather dust.....
