On death?

How do you set up a switch/whatever to activate when a monster dies?

For example, in the big final boss stage VS the collector, he emits 2 monsters, and then waits for you to kill them before he keeps going?

How is the game able to tell when the monsters were killed?

Good question, I never tought about it. Depending on the boss your gonna go. IF you put a key on the boss head and an a key contact at the height of the head. When the boss die the key fall to the ground and the contact turns off. Theres probly a easier way to do it.2008-12-06 02:59:00

I've used death-activated switches many times.

Simply attach a Magnetic Key somewhere on your creature and place an inverted Magnetic Key Switch nearby (it should have a very wide radius), but not on your creature. Then simply attach the switch to whatever you want activated on the creature's demise.

I have this happen in one of my levels, theres a megnetic key on a Prize Bubble, when you pick it up, you basically destroy the key, and there is a switch nearby set to inverted, so it basically stays "on" or "closed" until the key is gone, switching it to "off" or "open" or whatever yours will be, basically, just have keys attached to the monsters, make sure they dissolve when you kill the monster though.2008-12-06 08:32:00
