My query is in the subject of sackbot's and how you can differentiate between left and right inputs on the left analogue stick. Ultimately, what I want to achieve is a sackbot that, when the player presses square, attacks in whatever direction it is running.

notice when the controller is mapped in the controlinator microchip, that there is a up/down and a left/right output on the left analog , if you conntect either of these outputs to a direction splitter it will seperate the "single" left/right output into 2 outputs. One as left and one as Right. + and -.

Hi buddy. To differenciate betweeen analog inputs you need a way to split the signal. Thats done with a SPLITTER. This will work for anything you want to split from one signal into 2. (Just like a COMBINER merges 2 signals into one,) Heres how- From the left/right left stick analoge output on the controllinator, take a wire and connect it to the input on a SPLITTER. This will take the conbined left/right signal and split it into a positive output (RIGHT), and a negative output (LEFT). Thats how you split the direction. The same works for up and down. Connect the left analoge sticks up/down output to a SPLITTERS input and It splits the signal as before to Positive (DOWN) and negative (UP) This also is the case with the right analouge stick and the D-pad. :-)

Thanks all... That seems pleasantly simple. I suppose that ignorance was born through not playing half of the tutorials! I have to admit - I may have been using square and circle as separate inputs for left and right respectively... the shame of it... Anyway, thanks again ShadowTyphoon, Sean 88 and Antikris...
