okay, so i have started making a Minecraft survival playthrough, and i LOVE my intro image that my friend made, but i would really like a new one, but i know no artists who want to take the time to draw it. added the hood, however there's one problem, if you want it as a clear png file we got three quite annoying options. option 1. i don't save it as a clear png file............ option 2. i can however move the file from sai to GIMP and from there save it as a clear png (probably).. however when i copy and paste the image GIMP adds a white background anyway... i CAN remove the white background but the image will be about 50% transparent and the colors will be 50% darker. to fix this though you can add a white background in your own edit program (if you got any..) preferable one with "layers" so you can add the transparent layer over the white background, making it "complete" again. the colors will be correct, it wont be transparent anymore and you can move around the characters as you wish. but it will still have a non-clear background if you try to save it.. option 3. we ask some photoshop pro to remove the background perhaps...?

yeah i have a technique for editing out gray, since not really any of the character is gray i should be able to cut it out pretty easily

that's awesome! you could however make the shadows a little shorter and lean a little more to get the perspective with the "floor", right now it sortha looks like you and the creeper would be cardboard cutouts. but if you're fine with it as it is now it's totally cool. x] EDIT btw! as for background you could take a screenshot of the actualy game and edit it a little to look like this http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y363/az_za-/joshex.png eh? eh? :]

It looks a really polished illustration. it's -so far- just my hobby, in the future i plan to actually work in general artwork stuffz, animation, game design, and all what not. i drew the entire image in my computer with only paint tool SAI and my tablet. My girlfriend dabs in to illustration to, she's made tattoo designs, just as a hobby. im not quite as good when it comes to design my own characters though, i've no sense for fashion, nor am i good at drawing impressive buildings or temples and such. i've never really been intrested in tatoos but those are pretty cool :] I think people usually follow other peoples illustrations and draw them and add their own 'twist' and style of drawing to them. My friend at uni did that with different things, for one project he actually drew a sackboy but made it 'his own' by adding his own style to it. It probably takes years to master a skill like you have. Haa I know what you mean about tatoo's to, I don't really get them, simply because people who usually get them dislike them in years to come and once you have one, you can't do anything about them (unless your rich). But I can see why people like tatoo's like that, they are more illustrated than usual tatoo's.

my style is a mix from millions of diffrent artists, already as a kid i drew stuff from tv games and movies. even though, if you already can draw properly i think my "style" would be pretty easy to learn actually.. tatoo's are just so highly detailed i would never have the patience enough to try em out. Well, tattoo designing isn't that hard unless you're doing figures or sleeve designs, i do tattoo designs for a tattoo place not that far from my house.

They look nice, are you just in to tribal imagery? If you didn't read it in an earlier post I posted my girlfriends tattoos' earlier in the thread. Some of her tattoos has been gotten by people in real life, and one of her popular tattoo designs has been downloaded around 20,000 times. It's mad!

I'm a graphic designer and getting feedback for your work is one of the most important things you can get. It helps you realise what works and what doesn't. It can help you focus your designs in different directions and may open your eyes to new techniques you may not of found in the past. And one of the funniest things to happen, is in a few years time and you look back on your past work and realise how crap it was and how far youve come since then. I've done that a lot over the past few years haha. My graphics and photography artwork can be found in my sig.
