Still plenty of time to enter this one and maybe win the Crown, some ps3 games and psn cards. As is standard practice on LBN and LBL we'll be looking for independent judges from all the main sites to ensure impartaility and the integrity of the judging process. So if you don't fancy entering you might consider judging, can be a rewarding experience and give you an invaluable insight into the talent out there on LBP2. If you fancy giving it a go just leave a visitor message on my profile and you'll be added to the judging pool. | 2011-05-23 13:12:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |
Lol, well I was gonna enter until I seen Lockstitch entered. There's your winner.. but I suppose it would be fun to try anyway. Just a quick question do zombie survivals count as 20th Century? I'm halfway through making one , and it is turning out quite well. So i would love to enter it... BTW Lockstitch, do you seriously not have a crown? :S *EDIT* Ok i'm a quite far through my level now, just need to do all the logic. But before I devote this level to your competition I need to be assured that : 1. My level does indeed fall into the 20th century category (It is a dark, zombie level set in an american metropolis.) 2. My level will be judged on its gameplay, visuals and other features and not just how it fits the category. Kthnxbai. I don't have an account on LBN and i see no reason to create one just to get a question answered, so if you could just answer it, in this thread. That would be good | 2011-05-24 16:51:00 Author: onaga666 Posts: 293 |

That would be good Hopefully Lockstitch will make an entry, it would be interesting to see how he addresses the theme of the contest in his own unique style. In answer to your questions: 1. The theme of the contest must be utilised in your level . Check the opening post in this thread and there is plenty of discussion of the parameters within the thread: http://www.littlebignetwork.com/showthread.php/10273-LBN-LEGENDS....A-History-making-Crown-Contest So a generic zombie survival wouldn't score high on design brief content. If it were set during a specific period of 20th century history for example World warI , world war II, Cuban missile crisis etc. with specific reference and visual imagery relevant to the topic then it would score higher. Think of an event in 20th century american history that could be utilised, there are plenty to choose from. 2.Gameplay, visuals, originality and other ceative criteria will be used towards the final score. To qualify for entry you should post your PSn name, level name and LBP.me link in this participants thread: http://www.littlebignetwork.com/showthread.php/10279-Legends-A-History-Making-Partipicant-list But if you're adverse to registering feel free to post the details in a visitor message on my profile and I'll be happy to do it for you | 2011-05-28 11:24:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |

My level is designed, i'm just doing logic. Unfortunetly it doesn't really meet the criteria, so I don't think I will enter the competition this time, I'll just wait for a survival game competition or something. Thanks anyway, I doubt I would have time to create another level. | 2011-05-28 14:54:00 Author: onaga666 Posts: 293 |

Very cool idea. I am definetely goona enter this. Now to make a level in less than a month... | 2011-06-08 11:45:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
Just under a month to go folks! Still a relatively small field, may be a good chance to sneak in and grab yourself a crown or runner prize. Will be rounding up judges from all the main forums to ensure impartial judging as usual. | 2011-06-09 17:32:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |
For my level, the story takes a lot of leave from the original legends and myths, is it still alright if we add characters and alter existing ones to fit? | 2011-06-11 06:39:00 Author: Brian_Istenes Posts: 151 |
For my level, the story takes a lot of leave from the original legends and myths, is it still alright if we add characters and alter existing ones to fit? As long as the basis for the level is clear with references to the source material that will be fine. Check the link in the first post of this thread for details and discussion about the contest, good luck. | 2011-06-11 10:04:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |
Hello, would just like to say with the deadline becoming ever closer, you guys should really get involved in this comp as it is already going to be a source of some world class levels! Trust me I've already seen some of them! LBN has had a great history of providing some fantastic levels, the winning levels are never anything short of superb! As a creator you need to get involved in this comp to truly test yourself out against the best! As an LBP player, you really need to keep an eye on this comp to get to be one of the first people to play these levels before they go on to hundreds and thousands of hits and then you can say, yeah I discovered that level And as a competitor you have got a fantastic chance of winning some fantastic prizes The theme to this competition will no doubt provide some interesting topics for playing. You've still got the best part of a month to get involved in this comp, so give it a go, and who knows, maybe you will become an LBP legend!!!!!!! *crowd roars* *Draden bows* *Draden slips on a banana skin* That is all. | 2011-06-11 17:20:00 Author: Draden6436 Posts: 297 |
As long as the basis for the level is clear with references to the source material that will be fine. Check the link in the first post of this thread for details and discussion about the contest, good luck. Well it's not really based on one single Legend, It's a mash of Japanese mythological creatures, and it has many references to legends. The story can be changed at will, I just don't want to spend so much work on the level and find that it has been disqualified. | 2011-06-11 18:43:00 Author: Brian_Istenes Posts: 151 |

The story can be changed at will, I just don't want to spend so much work on the level and find that it has been disqualified. The level will be acceptable as it fits well within the Japanese/Chinese mythology theme catagory, check link in first post of this thread for full list of historical/ mythological theme catagories. | 2011-06-12 16:19:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |

Is this contest over? Still over three weeks to deadline, terms and conditions in first post of thread. | 2011-06-13 15:02:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |
I'm not entering, I'd like too. But I don't have History packet, which makes it too hard for me. | 2011-06-13 20:30:00 Author: AbdiHMA Posts: 86 |
I'm not entering, I'd like too. But I don't have History packet, which makes it too hard for me. Owning the history pack isn't a pre-requisite to making a history or mythology themed level, user created content is often more original and inspiring. One of the ways of improving as a creator is to overcome and innovate rather than going for the pre-fabricated option. | 2011-06-14 19:16:00 Author: EnochRoot Posts: 533 |
Im a big fan of mythology so Im going to enter finally I have a reason for making a mythology LV again but this time in LBP2 also cant wit to see the other Lvs. | 2011-06-18 19:01:00 Author: Erebus Posts: 79 |
