I was wondering, as always. What are the different levels like. I mean similarities between levels and (Movies, other games .ect.) All I can think of is Avalon reminding me a bit of Tron, because they both have a futuristic look.

My understanding is that they took design elements from concepts, not specific movies. I would venture to guess that most of the similarities are just coincidence (except for specific things like Clive (?) saying "In space, no one can hear you grumble" a reference to Alien). And IMHO Avalonia looks nothing like Tron whatsoever.

There was an earlier thread saying something about Victoria's being like Tim Burton's style of work. I personally thought the first level of Cosmos was remniscent of the Magic School Bus -- although that's probably just me.

There was an earlier thread saying something about Victoria's being like Tim Burton's style of work. To clarify, I think that means the player found it reminiscent. I don't think Mm's design brief was intentionally burton-esque. Fight Of The Bumblebees is a play on R-Type, I reckon. Or every single side-scrolling shooter that ever existed. You're probably too young to remember the 80's; this was every other game out there.

Or every single side-scrolling shooter that ever existed. R-type is the only one I've heard of. I'm not much of a side-scroll shooter person myself. You're probably too young to remember the 80' Yep, the mid 90s is more my era. (PS1)

80's is retro now?!?!?!?! oh God I feel old.... Run. Stop. Run. Now those were the days. No PSN down time/information theft - the worst thing to happen was needing to rewind a tape and it getting chewed up. Design choices of the garbage world stuff had me thinking of the Planet of Junk, and I was expecting some Junkions to pop out at any time.
