Domesticated Foxes
Archive: 15 posts
This is like my first post on here in like eighthundred-fiftythousand years but this news made my day.... no made my week.... NO........... made my LIFE! okay it just made my day but this is cool stuff. These people in siberia have been like domesticating foxes since like 1960 or something and they would breed them to become tame so you could keep them as pets! They are like the coolest things ever! Foxes were always my favorite animal so this is some exiting stuff! The people who were breeding them said that each generation of offspring would act more tame and have more domesticated features and stuff. As they were breeding them they developed curly tail, floppy ears, spotted fur and they would even make this high pitch barking sound. also they would wag their tails in human presence! Here is a link to thier website http://www.sibfox.com/ Foxes will be like the new dogs/cats! (hopefully) But think of all the possibilities! Okay domesticated dogs came from wolves right? Ok. Pit bulls, yorkies, shepherds, boxers, and many other dog breeds barley look like wolves at all. So think of what can come from a fox! I want one sooo bad but i HATE stupid California and their STUPID laws! STUPID cali doesnt allow ownership of pets like that > | 2011-05-04 03:57:00 Author: Unknown User |

I've heard of pet foxes before, they're cool! Next, we need domesticated raccoons... http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k188/TheU2Minx/raccoon.jpg | 2011-05-04 04:25:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
i want one, so i can tell it DO A BARREL ROLL!!!! | 2011-05-04 04:28:00 Author: wait wtf Posts: 853 |
Just like some dog breeds, foxes are fairly expensive. A cost of tame fox including SibFox delivery service to your door is offered at $6,950 (USA only). Transportation from Russia and extensive paperwork is a significant part of the cost. Welp, there goes my dreams of owning a fox anytime soon. ._. | 2011-05-04 04:31:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |

Awww...I wanted a pet lion But foxes are still cool. I think some people tried to domesticate animals like that but it didnt work. It that not every species is able to be bred into a domesticated animal like foxes and wolves and stuffs, but it said that foxes and wolves have certain genes that allowed it to be able to develop into a domesticated animal or something like that. | 2011-05-04 04:55:00 Author: Unknown User |
I saw a story about these people a couple years ago. Someday, when I have the money, I'll definitely get a pet fox. Luckily here in MN, it's perfectly legal to own them. | 2011-05-04 10:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
whoah. so cool. i doubt theres any law specifically against foxes in england but they probably come under the dangerous animals act, since the ones we have in england carry loads of diseases. it would probably take a hell of a lot of paperwork but i think it would probably be possible... if only i didnt have cats, and had more time on my hands .... | 2011-05-04 16:20:00 Author: Skalio- Posts: 920 |
