rotating a wheel left or right.
Archive: 8 posts
I have a large wheel fixed to the floor. The level will be a top down view. I am looking to control the wheel clockwise or anti clockwise. I want to either the controlnator. Left/right d pad or use thumb stick. So when i hold down left the giant wheel will rotate anti clockwise, holding down right will turn it clockwise. As soon as i stop pressing left or right i want the wheel to also stop. How can i do this people. | 2011-05-03 20:52:00 Author: Unknown User |
Link the appropriate controls on the controllinator to a motor bolt. | 2011-05-03 21:24:00 Author: Brannayen Posts: 438 |
if you use an advanced rotator you wont get that annoying sound that motorbolts make | 2011-05-03 21:55:00 Author: Unknown User |

Then you set the motor bolt to forwards/backwards. that should do it. Also i think if you set the motor bolt to be hidden in play mode you won't hear the sounds. | 2011-05-04 03:33:00 Author: shane_danger Posts: 283 |
sure i did. lol if you place an advanced rotator you shouldn't have to do anything more than hook up the d pad or analog stick to it | 2011-05-04 04:54:00 Author: Unknown User |
Thankyou people | 2011-05-04 07:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
yes, as others have said, connect the left/right stick on a controlinator to a motor bolt and set the bolt to directional input. What may happen is that the bolt won't stop turning after you let go of the stick... I found that if you take the stick signal to a signal splitter and hook that up to a signal joiner again, then hook that to the bolt, it will work exactly like if it were a 3-way lever hooked to that bolt. Set the bolts rotation speed to determine the maximum velocity at which it turns. The stick produces an analog signal so that means the user can make the bolt turn at slower speeds. | 2011-05-05 19:04:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
