I have problems with LBP 2 Thermometer
Archive: 7 posts
Hello all LBP Central Comunity. Im making the last of my High Tech Cave saga ( High Tech Cave 3 ),But I have some problems to create it as I wanna, this is the problem...I had originally thought of creating a single level, while creating the level, I find that the thermometer is filled quite fast, my level is currently divided into two parts by this problem, and I hope to dont have to divide it into 3 parts. I'm disappointed with the thermometer of LBP 2, Mm said it would be bigger, but I think it is smaller. In LBP 1 I have created in LBP long and detailed levels in a single level, but in LBP 2 need two or more levels. Although I maybe be the problem, if so, could someone help me giving me some helpful tips to save thermometer or some system to consume less of it. Thanks and greetings to everyone again | 2011-04-29 06:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
How about destroying old sections of the level after you pass them, and emitting new ones. This is a hassle though, not sure if it's worth it. | 2011-04-29 09:10:00 Author: Radishlord Posts: 706 |
Thermo glitching is a bad idea 'cos eventually the lag piles up. Perhaps the levels are much more detailed than in LBP1? Try and cut out any unnecessary corners or anything you don't need. | 2011-04-29 10:45:00 Author: mutant_red_peas Posts: 516 |
Do keep in mind a lot of the newer stuff also uses more thermo than LBP stuff, backgrounds now take thermo as well, I believe the arcade or avalon's levels BG take about one full bar, water has a toll as well, and like said, more of the new stuff takes more thermo, so it may have more thermometer, but you can use it up a lot faster as well. | 2011-04-29 11:44:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Hmmm...That's very hard to help you in this way, since you don't give details about your levels. Is there lots of emitted stuff? Lots of corners? Lots of circles? Lots of materials? Lights? I'm quite good as saving thermo, but I can't help you that much. A good use of corners can help much, and a great advice is to never use carved stuff. If you have to have a carved circle it's better if you have 2 C shapes glued for example. Avoid corners where are not seen. So remember to place the lights accordingly. Leds carve the thin layers for example, so try to glue them on thick layers. This are just tips that may give you back a good 15-20% of the thermo. | 2011-04-29 12:19:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |

They still give out light, but the source is invisible | 2011-04-29 12:25:00 Author: Radishlord Posts: 706 |
Its a good Idea, but I need to see how it work in the level.Iys weird to explain but Im good at saving lot of thermo in LBP 1,but I have lot of problems in LBP 2,mabye the problem is LBP 2 levels are now more complex and detailed then LBP 1...I dont know really. Thanks to all to read this thread and answer me | 2011-04-29 15:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
