Direction Specific Spin

:kz: I'm trying to make a Double Jump Chip that makes the Sackbot Spin toward the Direction I'm moving the Analog Stick at, so when I'm going Left & I perform a Double Jump, it spins that way, & when I'm moving it the other way, it'll spin the other way, as well. I can't seem to do this, though, because I'm limited to the only one Input of the Analog Stick. Any way to do this? | 2011-04-28 01:33:00 Author: IronSkullKid99 Posts: 515 |
Use a Direction Splitter. Make the input that makes sackbot jump go to 'and' gate, as well as the positive/negative. if you dont understand, i'll help hen PSN is back on ;] | 2011-04-28 01:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
According to another blog post from Sony today, it'll be about another 6 days before that happens. | 2011-04-28 02:57:00 Author: BIGGamerer Posts: 182 |

so here's what you need to do... the analog sticks actually create a positive and negative signal depending on which way you push them and how far from center they are. Right and Up are considered positive outputs, and Left and Down are negative. So if you hook the left/right output of the left stick to a direction splitter, pushing left will activate the negative side, pushing right will activate the positive side. So you'll have two behavior chips, one for each direction of spinning. Then you'll wire the existing inputs for those spinning movements into an AND gate and the positive (right) and negative (left) outputs from the direction splitter into those and gates as well (respectively). Let me know if that makes sense or if you need anymore help. | 2011-04-28 04:27:00 Author: shane_danger Posts: 283 |

Thanks, it worked perfectly. :kz: *Oh, & nice tip about the Posotive & Negative sides of the Analog sticks* | 2011-04-28 12:30:00 Author: IronSkullKid99 Posts: 515 |
cool, send me an lbp.me link when you have it up and running. sounds good so far | 2011-04-28 15:13:00 Author: shane_danger Posts: 283 |
simple solution, hook the left/right analog output to the input of an advanced rotator. | 2011-04-29 02:46:00 Author: sonofbrave Posts: 107 |
